The UAE is one of a handful of countries that the US does not run espionage programs in - what do you think that says about which camp their loyalties are in?This would all continue without enhancing strategic ties as UAE and India are attempting to do.
I'm not really sure what UAE's grand strategic goals are. World is splitting into 2 camps...USA bloc and China bloc. I assume UAE will be try to be neutral between the two camps ...or do they want to be only in the USA camp? Do they want to militarily confront Iran or Turkey? Do they want to focus on economic development and build an Arabs only EU? Will they include non Arab Islamic countries? Or will it be a secular economic bloc of USA proxies?
My sense right now is that UAE will become American agent trying to push for regional cold war with Turkey and Iran, keeping the region split and weak.....So they can maintain status quo as long as possible.
Too many unknowns at this point about their intents. But I am certain about one thing though... If things go south and serious shooting starts between UAE and whoever.....India will do little for them. Iraq, Kabul, and Armenia are testaments to this.
About f**king time too!.Iran has decided to use local firms to develop a large offshore natural gas field, which was discovered by an Indian company and set to be developed by a group of Indian firms, Press Trust of India reported on Monday, citing sources with direct knowledge of the plans.
An Indian consortium led by ONGC Videsh discovered the huge Farzad-B gas field back in 2008. Iran and India have since negotiated the terms of the field’s development for years, in fits and starts.
Three years ago, the Indian consortium led by ONGC Videsh offered Iran US$11 billion in investments into the Farzad-B field on the condition that the Iranian authorities can guarantee it a reasonable level of returns. Reasonable, ONGC said in 2017, was 18 percent, according to the managing director of the company’s overseas investment arm.
Negotiations between Indian companies and Iran on the development dragged on for years, with pressure building between the parties in 2017 after Iran delayed its final decision about the field several times. India responded to the delays with threats of reduced Iranian oil imports.
Iran added fuel to the fire at the end of May 2017 when it signed an initial agreement for Farzad-B with Russia’s gas giant Gazprom. The news, announced by Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh, came on the back of earlier remarks that Russian energy companies may take the place of Indian sector players in Iran’s oil and gas fields.
After a few more years of stalled development talks, also because of the U.S. sanctions on Iran’s energy industry, it now looks like Iran has decided to forgo the use of foreign firms and replace the Indian consortium with domestic companies.
According to Press Trust of India’s sources, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) told ONGC Videsh in February 2020 that it planned to sign a contract to develop the Farzad-B field with an Iranian company. ONGC Videsh, however, continues to seek contact with Iran about the field, but Iran hasn’t responded to the Indian firm yet, the sources said.
@Indus Pakistan Bro, I think this would be a perfect opportunity for Iran and Pakistan to work together on more gas deals. Due to current sanctions things will be difficult, but god willing Trump will go out of office and we'll be free to pursue such deals in the next few years.Iran Boots Out India From Huge Gas Field Development | OilPrice.com

Indians are ruled by Hindu Zionist lapdogs even though many Iranians don’t like the regime they still see Iran as an Islamic country even though the Persian culture dominated during the ghori, delhi, and Mughal empire these Hindus feel closer to the zionists than to IranGood riddance.
India has proven to be an extremely unreliable partner that is unwilling or unable to exercise strategic autonomy in the face of American maximum pressure. Indian foreign policy incompetence is just staggering.
As long as both of them are in the American orbit then they aren’t trustworthyAbout f**king time too!.
Ten years wasted dealing with these two faced f**ks who are only to happy to take advantage of the situation. However I would not look to pakistan either to do any deals with,be they current or future,as by the same token pakistan has proven itself to be just as worthless and unreliable economically as india has, with both nations either trying to take advantage of the situation or when that fails resorting to the same pathetic old excuse of "But...but...sanctions.....,we...we cant do anything because of the sanctions".
I think its well past time to give the indians an ultimatum over the snails pace of progress at chabahar AND to take pakistan to arbitration over its complete failure to fulfill its obligations under the ip pipeline deal.
LOL!!Victory for India as Iran could not find a single foreign country to develop Farzad-B despite lying for months that many countries want to participate in the gas field project. Now Iran is forced to use only domestic companies for the project.
Every country refused to develop Farzad-B due to US sanctions. No Global banks were ready to provide loans either.
Truer words were never spoken. As long as both of them are in the American orbit then they aren’t trustworthy

From what I see Iranians even during the shah see themselves as an independent nation and an empire and they still hate England and Russia for what did to them in the 19th and 20th centuries.Indians on the other hand they still worship their white masters despite the fact what they did to them is worst what they did to Iran and no country received such treatment from the British accept for the native Americans and the Africans the British looted billions from them starved millions of them to Death and divided their country while Iranians still hate the Russians for stealing Caucasus and Britain stealing Afghanistan and controlling Khuzestan and Bushehr and interfaring and invading Iran in ww1 and ww2 and creating separatist states in Iran and overthrow the Iranian prime minister and last but no least arming saddam against Iran yet I still why Indians still worship the white man??!!Hindi nationalists are among the worst bigots and bootlickers of the West you can find. Their toxic ideology and one-dimensional world-view is going to get them geopolitically isolated, at the detriment of their interests. Indians, from my experience, have no sense of strategy or autonomy.
It is difficult to comprehend for an Iranian how any country, let alone that of the size of India, is allowing itself to get dictated by the threats and policy wishes of a country that is sitting on the other side of the world. The inability or unwillingness to showcase any independence or boldness is staggering, and this subservient attitude is regrettably exemplary for this subcontinent.
But India isn't the only country that dances to the tunes of other powers. In fact, the countries that go their own direction can be counted on one hand in this world. One has to have a strong sense of dignity to be such autonomous.
good oneNext up BRICS
I for Iran
Chabahar is not a worry as US has given sanctions waiver. No such waiver for any oil field in Iran.Maybe for your next "Victory for india" you`ll lose chabahar as well.
Perhaps Indian administration thought like you too.Chabahar port is progressing well because merciful US has given sanctions waiver for the port.
Except Chabahar Port not a single foreign investment project in Iran has been able to move forward after Trump came to power in 2017. Even Russia and China could not make any meaningful investments in Iran after Trump came to power (other than signing MOUs which have no value without a final deal).
