.50 caliber is the most common anti material rifle in the world.

Qaher and lots of other defensive projects were suspended during Rouhani's presidency, and if it wasn't the leader's order for increasing the defense budget and the coming election it would have remained the same.

50mm does NOT equal 0.50 caliber!

A 0.50 cal rifle (or 0.50 inches) is equivalent to 12.7mm.

This rifle definitely does NOT have a bore of 50mm (given it's length, which is normal for a 12.7mm rifle, the barrel would be MUCH MUCH larger).

This is just yet another Iranian-built anti-material rifle, given it's size, it's likely a 12.7mm design.

EDIT: I missed where it said 50mm in the article. Has to be a typo given the rifle's dimensions and appearance.
