Interethnic marriages - Or why Asian men don't get any

Thats only in cities. Its different in rural areas. When I visit my ancestral village, all people are intersted in is what's my caste (Gujar, Jatt, Rai, Syyed, Malik, etc..) Most of Pakistan's population live in rural areas and they still dont marry outside their tribe, subtribe (caste).



For me, the woman I marry has to be Pakistani and Muslim...I dont care what ethnic group or tribe or caste she comes from.

True that because they do not meet ppl from other ethnicity.

well...

i'd say, if you are a privately educated, proffessional from Pakistan...you'd have more in common with, say a privately educated professional from India, or England...than with a day labourer in your own city in Pakistan.

The same way, a solid working class person from England would have more in common, with a working class person from Germany, (bar the language barrier), than a toff from Hemel Heampsted.

Background and class matters, and marriages across class are the most fraught, in my opinion...when they occur, that is.
