During Pre British Era there was no religious bias. Muslim Nawabs trusted Hindu generals and Hindu Rajas used the Muslim bravery frequently. Everything Changed once Britain Tried to exploit us on our fault line.

here is no conflict between Language and Religion. Even with any local culture, except when it has any conflict with Muslims' believe of oneness and supremacy of God.

By the way, in my opinion religion and state need to be separated. I believe in democracy and tolerance. I have no problem with any deal and relation between India and BD govt if it happens through the process of democracy.

Kolkata was not just a city. It was Capital of British India for hundred of years and heavily Industrialized.

Kolkata was equal to 20 Kashmir. That is why It baffles me that it was presented to India so easily.

My friend who is a M.Phil in Chinese literature studied in Beijing, also a Bengali. And she went there with 10 other Bengali friends

Bengali Hindus didn't want to stay in proposed United Bengal. They opted for India. Neither Congress nor Muslim League was responsible for what they decided. Surely you would respect their decision. Here read this:
