`Insurgents using Bangladesh to spread militancy in India`

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has said that neighbouring Bangladesh is still being used by insurgent groups to conduct terror activities in the region.

While addressing an event in memory of martyr policemen in Agartala on Sunday, Sarkar said though militancy in the state has dipped, yet it has not been eradicated.

“Militants have become weak and cornered. The people of Tripura have isolated them but not uprooted the menace completely. It is not true that they are totally inactive.”

“Presently they are very active, yes in comparison to earlier days their activities have come down. According to our information at present in Bangladesh there are still 20-22 militant camps of our state,” said Sarkar.

He highlighted that though Bangladesh has cooperated in curbing use of its soil for militancy-related activities, however more efforts are needed to eradicate it completely.

“However, the present government in Bangladesh is very active in not allowing the militants to use their soil for spreading terror in our country.”

“And by this they have tried to improve relations with India. But we have also noticed that during the last two years the Bangladesh government has taken few measures against the militants who are using their territory," said Sarkar.

Separatist movements have riddled India's remote northeast for decades. Manipur is one of India's most troubled regions.

The best way for BD is to hand over the old and exhausted rebel leaders to India and keep on training new rebels in their place. India deserves a good lesson for stealing our water.
See Cong this what you get for opening your arse up for votebank politics

I would like to know where he had gotten his information from. Most of tripura borders bengali regions, which has no jungle and is littered with paddy fields. If there was a camp there, authorities would have been notified immediately

The south east borders tribal regions and has lush jungles. Ideal location for a militant camp. However, khagrachari is a heavily guarded place by the army. I doubt our army would have failed to notice 20-22 militant camps.

Anyway when is elections coming in tripura?

Militancy in Tripura has come down greatly in recent years and this is due to the fact that the people of Tripura trust the Indian government and its policies but terrorist camps i believe are still present in bd as many people here do say this. The strongest militant organisation is the NLFT and ATTF who recruit innocent villagers from interior areas and then send them to training camps inside bd

What is the status of fencing.

a large part of the Tripura's border with bd has been fenced(nearly 7/8 th portion).....thanks to this business in Tripura is booming

Lots of poors from Tripura kept on flocking in Comilla and surrounding region as many even can not manage foods. Please stop these poors from entering Bangladesh. Many also work as cleaners and house maid. As tripura is considered friendly region and would be part of Bangladesh people are not much concerned about it. Majority of the people of tripura has root in Bangladesh including this CM. 1947 East Pakistan did a big mistake but not accepting the king of tripuras offer to join Pakistan. But hope that fault will be corrected soon.

There might be a few separatist rebels in BD, but the number is too small. Furthermore we dont entertain any armed militias, due to spillover(weapons, secessionist thinking) to our own people. And I think just a few months back BD army and civilians caught some NLFT members.

As the election is coming soon, I think he is fishing for votes among the nationalist groups.

To Udaycampus I never understood the origin of royal family of Tripura , who are they actually? are they ethnic bengoli ? or are they indigenous burman who were later aryanised , I believe they had some good connection with royal families of Manipur and Calcutta. also are all dev-varman tribals like SD Varman and Somdev devvarman.Do anyone speak the burman/tripuri languages in Tripura??

And NLFT, aren't they some fringe christian group ?? how much support do they have from local tribes???

.
Nothing can please these arrogant, pathetic, ignorant Indians from farting from their mouth everyday. After the amount of awami dalali in doing India's dirty work, these ungrateful morons still rants about insurgents camps in BD. Bunch of lunatics. They would have been shitting in their dirty pants had BD backed NE insurgents/freedom fighters and this tripura CM would have been labeled as a traitor in an independent tripura.

The royal family of Tripura is of burmese origin and have now been aryanised mainly due inter racial marriages with royalities from other regions.I do agree that many people of our royal family donot speak kokborok(our native language) but our present king Kirit Pradyot Deb Barman Manikya Bahadur can speak kokborok........NLFT is mainly a christian group and want to establish an independent Tripura state as kingdom of christ even though all kings of tripura have been hindu and Tripura has been a hindu state throughout history......i can say that they do not have the same pool of supporters as before by analysing of the present peace and stability in Tripura, also in recent years many NLFT members have surrendered to the security forces

LONG LIVE THE KING OF TRIPURA
