Again: The carriers armament is the LAST line of defense ! Its air wing and escort ships are there to protect it ... this concept has not changed since WW2 in every carrier fleet.

And with 8 CIWS and Barak SAM it will be very well protected in short ranges..

It would be if the craft carrying the AKG could get past the escort. A CBG has its destroyers and air defense ships deployed far afield not to mention the BARCAP. As Oscar sir had stated that a system like the AKG does not pose a threat to a CBG or the carrier itself in the manner in which we presume. Rather it can simply deter the CBG from accomplishing its objective if time is limited. Besides it turns out that the Barak-2 and MF-STAR combo can form a reasonable line of defense against such systems if not one which is hundred percent effective.

i disagree ! the fastest missile uv'e got is the shtil-1 and it cannot be used as an interceptor against AKG cuz it's speed is equal to the AKG .

Equipped with 3D air search radars and Puma fire control radars, the 130m-long INS Vikramaditya is fitted with sonar suites, including hull-mounted LF sonar and LF VDS sonar, as well as Garpun-BAL SSM targeting and SAM control systems.

The Pic shows a Admiral Gorshkov class frigate! That idiot mixed up this new frigate and the Admiral Gorshkov carrier!

You guys fail to understand how a battle carrier group works she will never ever be alone! she is a asset which will be protected by submarines and stealth frigates

Try to get close to her if one can try believe me they would not even come close! hence why we will adopt Barak II once it is completed on our next gen destroyers.

Im trying to look for better sources online to see what systems she will have onboard there is one very good site called Russia-India
