Industry seeks ‘Made in Pakistan’ electric vehicles

.
I.C.E unites will also fail to operate on flooded streets unless modified. The benefits of E.V out weight any conventional vehicle by far.
You misunderstood. A well engineered ev has no issues in rains. I was referring to the guy saying its easy to manufacturer ev in Pakistan.
Not easy. Definitely easier than a IC . But if not properly engineered, you get badly electrocuted. You are basically sitting on giant batteries supplying anywhere from 110 to 750 volts.

. .
We produce more electricity than we ourselves produce oil, So, yes, we have more than enough power needed to charge the EV.

Then why majority of Pakistan is not fully electrified? Pakistan still suffers from daily or regular intervals of power cuts for many many hours.

How did you manage to get this idea that Pakistan has enough electricity when the installed capacity is only around 29 GW, while Germany has three times less population but their installed capacity is has around 220 GW?

Complete nonsense.
Hybrids advantage is that you arnt range restricted as in a pure ev.
If you are so inclined, then you can buy a normal car with huge fuel tank, and it will be cheaper than hybrid. Just you will be spending more money on gas.

motor heat or will it be water cooled.
Almost all EVs, even 3wheeler chingchis are water cooled. Any electric motor above 10kw is just impractical without water cooling. You will have a 2kg of 10kw motor, and 10kg of the radiator casing.

Though, motorcycle motors below 10kw are still possible to air cool.

Thanks bro. For educating me.

maybe electric car wit solar panel roof. pak weather will boost it.

1.5 million electric rickshaws on Indian roads.
Pakistan must be having similar small rickshaws ?
Hybrids are of mainly 2 type,
Plug in hybrid, where you can charge the car from a external supply for some short distance , like prius for 40 km.
Or the fake hybrids like the one i have at home, which switch off the engine at traffic lights and other idling moments. The car switches to a second battery in idling. Not a real hybrid. This battery is charged through the alternator.
Hybrids are not as popular because the added weight of a engine and battery pack, reduces the efficiency

Pakistan introduced Electric rickshaws recently and but they are yet to become popular mainly bcz we lack charging stations. Meanwhile they use solar panels on roof to achieve limited charging but that probably takes lots of time. There is also the thing about efficiency bcz using less efficient batteries is as much of a drain on resources as using fuel. It will take time before people become aware of its benefits. Bu yeah i agree hybrids make cars bulkier due to extra you to need accommodate.

over heat pak weather will kill it.

1. are you an electric vehicle specialist ?

2. do you have any empirical evidence to back up your claim ?

3. do ac motors in our homes cook off in summers due to the heat ?

4. hybrid vehicles are very common in pakistan, i drive a prius myself, = i havent heard of a single case of spontaneous cook off in the battery in summers

Ev has fluids. Brake fluid, liquid cooling for batteries and motors.
And if geared motor , than gear oil.

Sorry, My bad, EV sold in North America don't have engine coolant, But I didn't know they use Engine coolant in India and China Thank you to you and @Paul2 for correcting me.

Yes Germany and Pakistan are in same class of countries where one is Industrial giant other is agricultural and imports all its agricultural needs, so comparing them together will make sense, plus the fact that one can always digs holes all over Pakistan and start producing crude oil which off course is much easier then setting up a power producing plants. I Am 1000000000000% sure you will not get what I said.

Water/liquid cooled batteries and motors are the industry standard all over the world.
And for low speeds , normally a gearbox might be given , as at low rpms , the torque in a vfd controlled motor suffers at low frequencies. If their is a gearbox, their is gearoil. Tesla has managed some some other technique which i am not sure about.
