'Industry' coined from Indus, says VHP's Swami Vigyananand
TNN | May 22, 2016, 03.40 AM IST
BENGALURU: The word 'industry' has its origins in India - from the river Indus - according to the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF). The body says the British coined the word when they saw how industrialized India was before Muslim and British invasions.

"I am telling you the 'industry' word has come from us - Indus. We were very industrialized, (and) that is why they used the word," Swami Vigyananand, head of WHEF and joint general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, said at a summit organized in Bengaluru by the Forum on Saturday.

The Forum, started in 2012, brings together successful Hindu professionals - traders, bankers, technocrats, economists and industrialists - to share their business knowledge, experience, expertise and resources to create a prosperous society.

Someone should also teach him some geography; the Indus is in Pakistan,90% of its course; the Ganges is in Bharat.

Well they may not be blowing themselves up all over the planet for now, but they do have potential to do so... so  for now
I'm just so sick of you leftists constantly mocking the majority while maintaining complete silence whenever some 'minority' nutjobs go crazy.

btw, I'm a 100% secular, eat beef sometimes (certainly don't have a holy problem with those who do)/oppose the ban, completely irreligious (legalize the gays, don't ever stifle free speech or ban movies and gag the media etc) fully liberal guy, and I support the BJP.

a uniform civil code, we have to get there, or all the mumbo jumbo will destroy us.

we should all try and keep our heads a little bit above the sewage while we navigate these filthy waters, right ?

These lunatics add swami to their name and make the real ones too look bad.
good point, "vigyananand" is enough of a clue

for those who might not know.. "vigyan" means science, and loosely translates translates to industry and innovation.

Your claims at being a secularist are laughable at best. A secularist does not support fanatics like the BJP. Even if you believe that Modi is innocent and has not killed muslims then even the fact that he is blamed for it should give you pause.

Some people professing secularism and irreligiousness are deeply engrossed in a way of thinking that is conservative. That is a bigger problem as these conservative mindsets are what help and translate into support for groups like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena. And you say they aren't blowing themselves up. The question is who was responsible for Samjhauta and Malegaon. Not only that my sources say tha Babu Bajrangi secured a job in RAW after, I qoute tearing the wombs of pregnant muslim women. Now think what kind of job he would have in RAW other than killing muslims-perhaps from Pakistan but muslims nonetheless.

And cut showstopper some slack. His posts are far superior and numerable than yours.

This is pure gold. :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
People are always locked in the belief that their religion is superior... so much so that they forget the numerous benefits of objectivity. I wish India luck in finding the right balance between liberalism and conservatism as the Hindus seem to feel threatened... surprisingly so because the entire muslim vote was nullified by Hindus. Muslims overwhelmingly voted for Congress (30%+) and if only muslims had voted tai tai fish, Congress would be in power.

This division between muslim and hindu has been exacerbated by the previous election where 80% Hindus with their shear size negated the vote of 14% muslims. I can only begin to understand my cousins hatred for Hindus despite living in one India. Even those loyal to India have a certain dislike of Hindus. Proves and shows vividly the religious polarization in the country.

Good. Thank you Swami. Just reminder that you need to thank us in Pakistan. You might not be aware of this but most of Indus is in Pakistan.Yours truly was born in a village on a hill barely 10 miles from the mighty Indus.

Is This in anyway connected to OP ? :o:

Is it not. The underlying reasons for increased communal tensions which seem to be increasing that result in such absurd claims. Linking everything to religion when there is no role of religion here. Swami should take a break and solve bigger problems like muslims being refused properties in multi cultural cities like Mumbai.

South Asian societies have a habit to regress towards orthodoxy whenever they feel threatened.

no, I truly believe that religion has no space in the laws of our land, you need to look up the definition of the word.

also, that's kind of rich coming from a citizen of the "Islamic republic of Pakistan"

A secularist does not support fanatics like the BJP.
since when do Pakistani muhajirs get to issue fatwas on what political views Indian citizens are allowed ?

Even if you believe that Modi is innocent and has not killed muslims then even the fact that he is blamed for it should give you pause.
like I said, I'm not going to let a Pakistani citizen tell me what I should believe in or not, here though, chew on this:

Some people professing secularism and irreligiousness are deeply engrossed in a way of thinking that is conservative. That

me, right ? well I am a fiscal conservative [oppose any dole {some exceptions for the super needy}] and a nationalist who believes in meritocracy and hard work.

That is a bigger problem as these conservative mindsets are what help and translate into support for groups like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena.
Indian nationalist movements and groups are none of your damn business, Pakistani.

And you say they aren't blowing themselves up. The question is who was responsible for Samjhauta and Malegaon. be clear, so in your mind the RSS etc are the same as al-qaeda, boko-haram, isis and lashkar e toiba, jaish e mohmmad etc ?

be scared then, be very scared, they might drive a plane into one of your buildings and kill thousands just like 9/11 new york

and answer this question, when was the last time Hindus killed a bunch of people in Pakistan because glory to bhagwan ? o_O

the muslims in India are fine, but if you're so much into ummah chumma bullshit, which is exactly what it is, your "ummah" = shit aka bhains ki tatti, you should be into the middle east iraq and syria threads, go cheer for jihadi terrorists there, and I will cheer for the barrel bombs than maim them.

.
I used to think indigenous means Indianize something... not sure why.

.
no, I truly believe that religion has no space in the laws of our land, you need to look up the definition of the word.

Then what about the cow slaughter ban? Does it not take the right of muslims to eat what is provided to them and the freedom for Hindus to practice their faith in the way they like? What about a similar law board for Sikhs and Hindus despite sikhs wanting separate boards for marriage divorce etc.

Truth is religion has crept into India too. You may deny it but India was highjacked the day Gandhi was killed by an RSS man.

also, that's kind of rich coming from a citizen of the "Islamic republic of Pakistan"

Educate yourself. That Islamic Republic attachment was opposed tooth and nail by many. Has Modi similarly been opposed despite his (perceived?) links to violence against Muslims? He won because of his rabid anti-muslimness.

since when do Pakistani muhajirs get to issue fatwas on what political views Indian citizens are allowed ?

You are like any typical Indian I must say. Part of the problem, not the solution.

me, right ? well I am a fiscal conservative [oppose any dole {some exceptions for the super needy}] and a nationalist who believes in meritocracy and hard work.

Then you should vote the AAP. It looks like a rising party which atleast does not have the stigma of having murdered a minority group over its head. I say not even Congress. It did to Sikhs what BJP did to Muslims.

Indian nationalist movements and groups are none of your damn business, Pakistani.

I am a Lucknowi Pakistani with 3/5th relatives still residing in parts India considers its own. I will continue to comment on these matters as they affect us directly. Both parents were born and raised in Lucknow. So don't tell me what "my business" is.

be clear, so in your mind the RSS etc are the same as al-qaeda, boko-haram, isis and lashkar e toiba, jaish e mohmmad etc ?

Didn't an RSS man kill Gandhi? Didn't Sadhvi Pragya and Purohit confirm their links to Abhinav Bharat and confirm that they killed Pakistanis in Samjhauta express in cold blood. +We muslims of Lucknow often suspect that of the various terrorist acts in which muslims are framed are comitted by RSS-supporting-type Hindus. Babu Bajrangi can confirm this.
be scared then, be very scared, they might drive a plane into one of your buildings and kill thousands just like 9/11 new york

Well I worry for my relatives who haven't escaped from those regions and still live there. Riots or rather anti muslim genocide is easy to spark up. Hindutvas need an excuse, a bombing they probably themselves did, or Ayodha, Babri whatever suits them.
and answer this question, when was the last time Hindus killed a bunch of people in Pakistan because glory to bhagwan ? o_O

Ask Babu Bajrangi. These things are kept secret though and safely securely kept by RAW.

the muslims in India are fine, but if you're so much into ummah chumma bullshit, which is exactly what it is, your "ummah" = shit aka bhains ki tatti, you should be into the middle east iraq and syria threads, go cheer for jihadi terrorists there, and I will cheer for the barrel bombs than maim them.

Like you are cheering for a murderer like Modi? Comeon. Admit it. He only won because of what he did in Gujarat.
