Indus Nationalism and Scripts

One of the biggest blots on the face of Indus Nationalism is the continued use of Perso-Arabic scripts rather than the homegrown scripts of Kharosthi,Gurmukhi,Khudabadi....Only then can Indus Nationalism be strenghtened and legitimized in contrast to GanguFascism and the allied Devanagari script

Urdu and the allied Perso-Arabic alphabets have a long history of gestation in the Gangu land of Western UP

Everyone in Pakistan knows Roman script and uses it all the time
We know two scripts

I was just citing examples of two Muslim countries that are without doubt success stories. Turkey and Malaysia. Both adopted Roman scripts.

Don't know whether it would make any difference or not but would be easier for kids to learn 1 script
And as far as success story is concerned Chinese Japanese Korean etc don't use Roman script

I used Turks and Malays because they are Muslims and analogous to us rather then athiest [Chinese] and American wannabes [Japs].

Waisay no one in Pakistan has any problem in learning from non Muslims or atheists

We had the greek script at one point, even pakhto used it.

I am working on the revival of the Kharosthi script, it is a significantly easier script to learn than the Arabic script and represents the various sounds and accents of our region much better.

So far, I have created a keyboard for Kharosthi and I am working on a draft for "Modern Kharosthi".

I am also compiling a list of Gandhari vocabulary words that can be introduced to our native languages.

Kharosthi was not limited to North-West Pakistan, but was the dominant script of the entire Indus Region, it's inscriptions are found in every region of Pakistan, though more concentrated in the North.

I think it went along with a special form of Sanskrit known as Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit
