I looked every post of this thread yesterday, thus I don't understand why this very member @madokafc could come out unscratched from this mess which was crated by himself/herself. The second post made by this member immediately after the OP was the comment :" only good commies are dead commies ", which was also deleted by you guys. Now you tell me, was this comment not inflammable? Was this not the cause of all the subsequent rantings from both sides? In this instance, the malice intention to start a fight exhibited by this member with 20 positive rankings is 100 times more worse than those rantings there followed by others.

And now my final comment on the topic, or maybe on this forum, is : every dogs will have their day. When their numbers are called, we will deal with them accordingly to what they have done to us.

can't argue there is collateral damage happened during these days, but to admit those mistakes will make the authority of Indonesian Government is questionable. You must look though before your very own people

I think what Privateer mean was that that tragedy was a very deep wound in our heart. We acknowledge it, we learn it, and we struggle so we won't get the same kind of tragedy in the future. Yet, we are not shame to acknowledge that the tragedy was happen in the past.

In my opinion about these tragedy, that's because Indonesia have a lot of ethics to begin with. Xenophobia, religion diverseness and low education become the problem that we must solve. It's not only happen to my Chinese ethics. Mass killing were also happen to other ethics too. Like Batak killing Madura, etc. Ambon civil war, etc. For the case of Batak vs Madura, they didn't rape or plunder the victims, they cut their heads and take them home to decorate their house.

But for the tragedy that involve Chinese, I blame those atrocities to one person responsibility. Soeharto. All those atrocities that hurt Chinese ethics in Indonesia happened when he was in power. He is already dead now, and his dynasty is no longer in power.

So right now, rather than blaming the other ethics for the atrocities that happen to my Chinese Ethics, I prefer to build a bridge between us, to mend the wound, and building trust to each others. And the progress already show their result now. Xenophobia still lurk around, but our current problem is, at least not the diverseness, but because of our fear to communist.

Well, our hatred to communists birth another problem. That's over zealous religious people.

Right now, our country is being attacked by over zealous religious men who hate our government and has the link to international organizations. But that's not Indonesia only problem. I think Malaysia has also the same problem too. Because Noordin M Top came from Malaysia.
