Yes Anies maybe become Gerindra candidate for 2024 precidency, and there is also TGB who is now in Golkar who is quite popular and could become one of Jokowi minister for 2019-2024, PDI-P I think will pick Ganjar Pranowo as their candidate. Sandiaga on the other hand is also still popular and quite young with a lot of money and currently being backed by PAN. PKB if they are clever will make Khofifah as their choice. As I said it will be interesting to see. What kind of coalition that will be created for the election is also interesting to watch. Golkar for instant is the party that can easily change side.

While Ganjar..., I don't know. PDI-P is surely push him forward, give him a lot of chance to advertise himself in public. But I don't know. I can easily said that Ganjar is not at Jokowi level in term of popularity, hype, and even achievement. I haven't hear any hype from the people of Central Java regarding Ganjar. Even Risma is more popular and got more hype than Ganjar.

There is no candidate right now that has similar popularity like Jokowi 5-10 years ago, Jokowi has become media darling since he become city major, I still remember how all media often write many good story about him. Thats why I say 2024 will be more interesting because all of the heavy weight candidate are relatively in the similar strength in term of popularity.

I dont think Ridwan Kamil and Ganjar will become partner, I rather see them as rival in PDI-P. Both of them comes from PDI-P and it is a nationalist party. Nationalist party presidential candidate usually will partner with Islamist party candidate to broaden their overall popularity among voters. They can only have Islamist support from Nahdatul Ulama (PKB) because other Islamist party from Islam modernist doesnt have history to have close relation with PDI-P. So I guess PDI-P will go for Ridwan Kamil-Khofifah or Ganjar Khofifah.

I like TGB personally so I may vote for him and because he is an Ulama who comes from Nationalist party (Golkar) he may have more option in term of his team mate. My preference is TGB and Ridwan Kamil but it is impossible.

But I dont know about their programs, so for final decision I have to wait until election campaign, which one is more rational on his economic plan, it is just like how I vote Jokowi due to his rational economic plan.

Interesting thought. So it is impossible for RK - Ganjar? But RK is from independent. Other parties can take him and cooperate with PDI-P Ganjar.is it that impossible either? What a dilemma. I think Ridwan Kamil - Khofifah is... less possible, because Ganjar is one of PDI-P ace right now.They will go Ganjar, rather than RK.

Khofifah is also interesting. PKB has given her a lot of hype recently. And she use it so well to promote herself.

TGB is also interesting. But I haven't know him for long. Need to see his action more.

Anies is only popular with his sweet word rhetorics, Sandiaga is only popular with his stupidity and lies.

Ridwan is the current front runner. He already popular and a media darling, if he can keep his good work (and improve) as governor it'll be very smooth for him.

Ganjar is good but like other PDIP politicians he need to step more close to Islamic groups to gain more support. TGB is also good but need more stage to prove himself. A strategic minister position in the new cabinet might be his chance.

Jokowi has set the bar. One need to prove him/herself and have good record in lower government before consider running for presidency.

Among the popular names, AHY has the least experience in governing. IMO he needs one or two experience as civilian leader (successful one). He also need to be free from SBY shadow because right know people perceive him as nothing more than a tool for his father.

Anyway, still 5 more years to see, everything can change.
