Indonesia gets US nod for F-15 and F-18 fighter jet purchases

oh, I just figure that out.

I mean, that statement is unnecessary. Singapore obviously poses no threat to Indonesia and we have excellent relations.

But that statement kinda reflects Indonesia's deep abang mentality. "Look, we are a much larger country than that little red dot. We must 'balance' our military power against her to befit our status as abang in the region".

Ya, I think trying to do balance of military power with Singapore doesnt come from honest and clever opinion. All of dispute in territory has been settled and I am surprised Pedrason doesnt know something like that as he should be the one who give advise to our Minister of Defense.

Prabowo has been known to have ambition to spend much on defense and he will make any "made up" reasons to support it but unfortunately for him that he is serving under Jokowi administration who is so far quite rational in defense spending based on the history of his first administration.

well my guy, it's not only you who's surprised here.

if anything, I don't see SG as even a threat. Jakarta needs to have it's priority corrected here.

Lol America rips off Indonesia again. Australia is given F-35s for anglo-saxon allies but its rival Indonesia is given 50 year old planes. Sucking up to whites for scraps very sad lol.

:sarcastic: :sarcastic: :sarcastic:
If Indonesia were to use its proposed F-15 and F-18 against US allies in the region e.g. Singapore or Australia, these planes will be grounded due to lack of spares parts.
Indonesia don't read small prints.

. .
I mean, why not.

China could sell their J-20 for us then.
1. It is not for export.
2. It may be too sophisticated for Indonesian pilot.
HAL Tejas perhaps.

Oh I nearly forgot that the engine is still US.

The USAF and Navy still fly those 50 year old scrapped planes.
