India is world's cheapest country to live in alongwith currency de appreciation which further lowers nominal GDP per capita.
If in Europe, you can buy one thing with a coin, you.can have 4-5 in India. So, judgement on living standards in India in nominal terms isn't fair.
Okay, you don't wanna take only money in account for indicating standard, you can include HDI, IHDI, GHI, FSI, internet penetration, Education Indices (average years of schooling, literacy, University ranking) etc. etc.. That's enough to shut the guys up who call India poor even after being unable to conduct a proper census for counting population since 1980s, can't even calculate poverty properly.
Still, more than 45% of Pakistani urban population living in slums against our 24%?
Well well, Mumbai too has many faces, go through multimedia section. Mumbai has also something which you can't even dream off.
