India’s trade deficit with China mounts to $ 44.87 in 2015

.
Turkey produce so many electronic warfare equipment that India currently just dream of and they are very advance in many fields compare to India. They produce Tanks, UCAV, Advance level fighter plane parts, Gun ships etc

And we have advanced space research systems ,modules ,navigational systems etc .
When it comes to nuclear research we are a front line nation and in thorium research we are a world leader on par with US ,western Europe or Russia.
We developed all these with a lots of sanctions and zero cooperation from foreign nations .
Defence systems was freely available so we didnt push much thrust on that field .So we are not that good in weapons research .But we are also catching up in that field also with new policies .
Means we can do anything if we want .Turkey still need to chose Chinese AAD for their security :D
Developing some outsourced F 16 is not that big deal .

.
Turkey?? :D
AFAIK they are nothing in the space and nuclear research field.
India has its own unique points .
Chinese fleet cant even cross SCS without facing mighty JSDF and USN .And of course they dont have CBG's nor experience like ours.
We have already cross and park our fleet at Gwadar and SL port. We even send SSN and disel electric sub into Indian Ocean.

Gwadar is no that big deal because of the bad relation with Pakistan .Of Course you sent SSN in SL and that wont happen again .we already ensured that , you know what I mean .
Our Shivalik class stealth frigate also travelled under your nose in SCS and will be more in future

You did not send SSN to SCS or shall I say, you can't :D

We can send SSN into Indian Ocean anything.

We can send SSBN in SCS if we want .But not need an unwanted provocation .
Our frigate or destroyer would be enough:D

 Typical Indian response. I still remember ISRO scientist claimed China ASAT is nothing great and is not something difficult to achieve and they claim they can replicate it without any justification or facts but bragging only.

.
Visa on arrival.

What, are you stupid or something?

Why??? have you never heard of it???? Of course i understand.. with you holding a pakistani passport its very understandable

India's trade deficit with China mounts to $44.87 billion in 2015
By PTI | 13 Jan, 2016, 03.17PM IST

BEIJING: India's trade deficit with China touched a whopping USD 44.87 billion last year and its exports shrank to USD 13.38 billion as bilateral trade registered a marginal increase, totalling USD 71.64 billion, missing the USD 100 billion target set by the leaders of the two nations.

The total India-China trade in 2015 amounted to USD 71.64 billion, officials here told PTI quoting release by the Chinese customs. The bilateral trade registered a marginal increase compared to USD 70.59 in 2014.

This year China's exports went up to USD 58.25 billion while India's export to China was pegged at USD 13.38 billion, declining from USD 16.4 billion in 2014.

While Indian exports continued to decline due to fall in the iron ore and decreasing demand in view of China's slowdown as well as restrictions on exports, it was also attributed to rising dollar which Indian exporters say is having a negative impact on their profits.

Indian officials say that the trade deficit is more than USD 48 billion if the unofficial trade between the two countries is taken into account.

As the deficit issue continue to be a point of friction between the two countries, India is pressing China to open up more of its markets to IT and Pharmaceuticals which are India's main strengths.

While China continue to promise to look into the Indian demand, the fall of exports show that there is little improvement.

India and China agreed to form a special task force during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's to Beijing in May this year to review the deficit issue.

But officials say that it has not met so far.

In view of the continued deficit problem, India has been pressing China to step up investments in 'Make in India' and other infrastructure projects.

So far Chinese investments amounted to around USD three billion according to Development Research Centre of China.

The overall trade between them missed the deadline of USD 100 billion trade set by the leaders of the two countries.

Officials say that the marginal increase in trade this year showed that it will be an uphill task to reach the USD 100 billion landmark.

The maximum India-China trade recorded was about USD 77 billion in 2011.

China should thank India for creating millions of jobs because we are so generous with our money. Sooner or later China will have to balance its trade to keep its trading partners happy.

From China's perspective:
  • Exports to India is 2.6% of total ($58.25 billion out of $2.284 trillion)
  • Imports from India is 0.8% of total ($13.38 billion out of $1.689 trillion)
  • Bilateral trade is 1.8% of total ($71.64 billion out of $3.973 trillion).
Despite trade imbalance, bilateral trade is very small.

While Indian exports continued to decline due to fall in the iron ore

I am not sure about the volume change of iron ore imports because steel production in China still maintains at 800 million tonnes p.a., and that port holdings of iron ore is poised to top 100 million tonnes at the moment.

Instead of volume, I think like other commodities, price is the main reason leading to huge drop in imports. Check one key indicator Iron Ore Fines 62% FE spot CFR Tianjin port (US Dollars per Dry Metric Ton), the price has plummeted by as much as -42.44% in last 12 months.

But first, you have to make something China needs.

.
Nice allies you two.... Enemies India and China have 72 billion $ trade while closest allies have hardly 7 billion USD :lol:

It's actually $15 billion and China is Pakistan's largest trading partner . You're saying it as if China has sort sort of trade restrictions with Pakistan.

Chinese market is open to Pakistan but Pakistan doesn't have the relevant infrastructure in place to take full advantage of it. This is where CPEC comes in...
