India’s trade deficit with China mounts to $ 44.87 in 2015

China should thank India for creating millions of jobs because we are so generous with our money. Sooner or later China will have to balance its trade to keep its trading partners happy.

not sure what to thank for? you try to buy around the world, and you find chinese products relatively affordable for its quality, so you buy them. you simply shopping around and happen to choose chinese, it's not like you are giving china most favored nation or anything.

We can send SSBN in SCS if we want .But not need an unwanted provocation .
Our frigate or destroyer would be enough:D

your power, diplomatic and economic projection is far far behind China, there's no debate.

We already doing that not in writing but in action by buying more stuff than you buy ours.

.
We have already cross and park our fleet at Gwadar and SL port. We even send SSN and disel electric sub into Indian Ocean.
India imports $58 billion or 12.6% of its overall imports from China.

Following are China's top 10 exports to India equaling to $44 Billion which is incidentally equals to the amount of trade deficit. There is no need to beg China to open up it's market. India should go ahead and import these from other countries.

1. Electronic equipment: $16 billion -
2. Machines, engines, pumps: $9.8 billion
3. Organic chemicals: $6.3 billion
4. Fertilizers: $2.7 billion
5. Iron and steel: $2.3 billion
6. Plastics: $1.7 billion
7. Iron or steel products: $1.4 billion
8. Gems, precious metals, coins: $1.3 billion
9. Ships, boats: $1.3 billion
10. Medical, technical equipment: $1.2 billion
With "Make in India" campaign, India should also impose high taxes on Chinese goods. But it may adversely affect our Industry, because then the companies will have to spend extra money for the equipments. So by importing these products at cheaper rate our economy is growing and benefiting from China. What is more important for India is try to build proper infrastructure for manufacturing and skill development and we will see the balance shift in next 8-10 years from now.

Far too ambitious comrade.

It takes decades to develop such infrastucture and supply chains and 8-10 years is far too little time. Ive reached the age where 8-10 years feels like not too much time at all.

Whats more important is to tackle the fundamental problems plaguing India and possessing the political will to wipe out the abhorrent corruption, lack of civic sense and lethargy in the population. Factor in the extremely low percentage of Indian women participating in the workforce (Women hold up half the sky) and your time frame of 8-10 years is wishful thinking of the highest caliber.

What India needs is a huge kick in the arse and threats of more kicks until the entire country gets its act together and re attain her proper place as a great civilization.

Well I said "balance shift", that doesn't mean that trade surplus will be in India's favour but we can reduce this huge difference. Also as I said, we can see a good change in manufacturing sector in India within 8-10 years, which will help us reduce amount of import goods from China. Plus with increase in labour cost in China might just help India in bringing some of the factories from China here.

Also we need a benevolent dictator for next 8 years, so that we can develop without any major hiccups.

.
Wishful thinking. Indian businessmen love to bargain when it comes to dealing and wheeling, so they are very practical.
To the point of embarrassment. I will leave it unless you want to open up a new thread. I got some awesome real life experiences to share.

:enjoy:

Nice allies you two.... Enemies India and China have 72 billion $ trade while closest allies have hardly 7 billion USD :lol:
that's how we put our enemies to their knees without firing a shot

:pop:

 Typical Indian response. I still remember ISRO scientist claimed China ASAT is nothing great and is not something difficult to achieve and they claim they can replicate it without any justification or facts but bragging only.

Tell me .Is there is any problem in that statement ?
After all he is from same organisation that spectacularly completed mars mission with mere 476 crore INR ,something that China couldnt complete ,couldnt even cross earth's orbis :D
But I have doubt about your statement ISRO is only for civilian applications not military.DRDO is the organization for that purpose

We have enough power and diplomatic weight. We have allies ,some are very powerful something that you dont have .
Economic projection also have limits and we also have a thriving economy .
So China ability to counter India is way low.
