India's top court decriminalizes gay sex in landmark ruling

. . . . . . . .
Blasphemy is not a crime in most countries. You should be able to express freely. Would you agree to it?? If not why???
Why should we allow slandering of religion.

The point is Indians are hypocrites. On one hand they ban slaughtering of cows, but legalize gay sex which is also against religion.

Anyways their country, their choice.

Slaughtering cow is not a crime, people likes to eat beef and it should be legal in india

Depends, slaughtering anything can be a crime or not, that’s usually determined by the said country’s sensibilities. Cow holds a sacred position to Hindus, there’s ban on killing or eating many animals in most countries, we just have cow on that list in India. In any case there is no complete ban on cow slaughter nationwide and individual states have their own rules.

The decision on legalising homosexuality was inevitable after the Supreme Court held that the right to privacy is a fundamental right. What two consenting adults do is up to them unless there is serious injury that is caused.

Hinduism is not against homosexuals.

Well, you got my point right away. We should not allow slandering of religion and sentiments of people. In India some people have strong sentiments about cow slaughter. Hence it is a crime in some states while some states allow cow slaughter.

Regarding homosexuality, we overturned the age old british law. I believe it is still in your law books. Attitudes change and the law changes. What was taboo and immoral once does not remain same forever. In ancient India, homosexuality was not a taboo which can be seen from the carving on the temples. But then attitudes changed when Islam and Christianity came with its own moral code and homosexuality was considered as immoral and a taboo subject for a long time. Our society became conservative and we are still are to a large extent a conservative society.

Then Blasphamy law should be equal for everyone in Pakistan. On one hand you guys are punishing hindus/christians for mocking islam while encouraging hatred against christianity/hinduism. This shows that minority gets no justice in Pakistan.
