What's new

India's Tejas flounders while Pakistan's JF-17 Thunder soars to new heights

No Block-1 is comparable to F-16 block-5 or block-15, whereas block-2 is 80% capable to F-16 block-30/32,

We did jointly conduct R&D and feasibility studies For JF-17 project @Novice09

Can you give me proof of your claim @ssethii ???o_O:what::undecided:
The information is available in public domain which takes more than just a keyboard and internet connection to research.

.
As a workhorse the thunder is fine well done .
But you can't best Indian air force with thunders
For this you need 100 more block 52 or J31.or su35

So you don't have a prove @ssethii :crazy::crazy:

Block-3 is coming with lots of new goodies in it and able to intercept your mighty MKI and out of this universe 10 gen RAFALE @Storm Force ;):p::enjoy:

. . .
this total misunderstand part, you guys always taunt us on this Part @Novice09 :crazy:, the reality is that they especially design/tested it for Pakistan and remember its govt (Pakistan) and company (CAC) project (semi govt/semi private) deal and as for why China don't using FC-1, the reason is very simple China is 4th largest country of the world (by area) they need bigger jet to cover vast swath of their country with better range, better payloads etc etc @Novice09 :p::P;):enjoy:

Even India can say that SU 30 MKI was designed and developed by Russia for India but it is far from truth...

Block 1 is inferior to even the Mig-21 Bison.

Block 2 is a Mig-21++, but still lacks some of the air to air capabilities of the Bison, like HMDS.

Block 3 doesn't exist yet. Let's see after it begins flying.

You have to believe the capabilities of China... Block 3 is not far away...

.
In first sentence What is the use of FOC?.
In last sentence
QUOTE="My-Analogous, post: 10810057, member: 13804"]As a customer do you buy a plane don't even completed FOC?
Were you educated in reeducationreschool of china?

Human that is why it has an order of 123 followed by other 83.[/QUOTE]
Orders forced upon the airforce and still not got operational clearance.....what use is the orders when it cant fly or flight

.
Tejas is struggling for FOC but jfi17 is a hit without FOC. Well done Pakistan.
Can you prove your claim? With say an interview or news article?
If not, either let me delete your post or ban you from the thread

Please stop peddling baseless posts low life.
Banned from thread

I can also dig old reports to show how capable JF 17 was at the time of induction...
Find the last paragraph or face a longer ban. Rejected jet BS, sick of this cross border trash - if not for ad revenue the Indian IP should be banned. But then the beghairats would go to their usual obvious proxy IP accounts.

@Oscar, I do have full faith on you. You are the master.
How you fare Tejas (will get FOC by this year) with JF17?
If you can write a detailed analysis?

Let me help you.

First of all, BVR will be the domain of AEWACS + Thunder combination. If Tejas survives that, then those large compound delta wings will always hold it back during a sustained turn. It will be no match to the Thunder in a turning fight because it will lose altitude. Tejas also has a mediocre T/W ratio of 0.96 (Wikipedia), although the large wing should provide better lift. But we have not seen any reviews, discussion, videos about its transonic performance. From what I can see, that rising canopy will create drag issues. Similarly for the bifurcated intake. This means, the large thrust of the F404 won't be of much use.

But probably the worst thing about Tejas is its weight distribution. We have only seen vidoes in clear weather. I would like to see what happens if it ever faces a thunder storm, or high gusts of winds. There are also question marks around its stability when firing missiles at high speed. With the Thunder, we have videos of releasing ammunition at high speed. It has actually shot down an Iranian drone, and it has participated in military exercises around the world.

I guess, the real first test of Tejas would be its performance in an exercise with an external airforce. If IAF don't have the confidence to field it in external exercises, rest assured they wouldn't have the confidence to field it in combat.
