1.... i was trnoing for that part you did not get that... ohh well
2. china wanted the tu-22m but russia refused to sell them. russiabeing more economically reliant on chinawill have some effect or restrictions at least.
3. that is indeed true but are you going to buy 7 subs when your gonna build your own. remember make in india right? mind you they are for training mainly
4. once upon a time that was the offer russia refused and now india wants to buy them anyway. i feel they knew this would happen.
5. can you share pics if the ps90 on indian il-76's im sure the transport 76 and the 78 dont have the ps90 engines but the a-50 may as they are newer. but you can alway prove me wrong with some juicy pics......
6. will this first flight take place in ind a or russia. when will i be seeing an indian made ka226t?
7. i think you misunderstood here what i meant if the t90 needs to be upgraded why dont you use thetech from the rjun to upgrade the t90 instead of going to russia? heck you can offer it to other t-90 users as well
2.The refusal to China had a separate set of reasons....something not attached in this case, you see we have been using Tu142s, addition of Tu22M3 won't be that big for bigs to notice .... maybe Tu160 can.
3.The Indian SSN program will start by 2020, delivering the first SSN not before 2024, untill then we will have 2-3 aircraft carriers , 3-4 SSBNs to look for and other long range deployments too , and atleast 5-8 SSNs are required , in addition to Indian SSNs.
And the overhauled Akulas are not just for training, the word training is being used to underplay acquisition of such impactful systems by a nation with its own independent foreign polices , now just think who(big players ) would want another big player with a different set of policies ?
5. Will tag you when I upload it, a couple of Il76 transporters could be seen in that pic stripped down for overhauls and the news about the overhaul contract said about new power pack , structural overhauls and digital upgrades.
Older Il76s don't have PS90 , the newer airframes for AWACs, and possibly some later tankers have it.
6. The Indian LUH will only fly in India , obvious , the closest connection it had was from France .... no Russia here.
The Indian Made KA226Ts are atleast 18 months away , Russian made for IA will come sooner.
7. Some portions of upgrade of T90s will surely be inspired from Arjun , some others will come from the upgrade of T72 with Israeli and Polish help. Some elements will be from west being made under MII program integrated to T90. And some will be from Russia of course , the key here is that we are not all alone capable of upgrading T90, only Russia can , maybe Poland and Ukraine who offer upgrade for T72s can upgrade T90s too , but sadly we cannot do it alone as of now.
