I understand, sort of, the hindutva attitude towards Muslims simply because Islam is a different belief system all together.

However, I don't really understand the way current incarnation of hindutva views castes and especially the lower castes. Given that dalits are hindus, and I assume they are also voters of Modi, why are they also considered persecuted by what seems to be a religious movement within their own religion?

Also for any other Indian who understands the dynamics at play.

I will try to respond, in a day or two.

Briefly, to the Hindu upper-caste, all others are inferior beings - Muslims and Christians in a Trump-like manner of speaking, but the supposedly Hindu Dalit, the supposedly based originally in India and owing allegiance to none but Indians in India Tribesmen of Central India and North-east India as well. It's an unlovely creature, that.
