It is worn all over India, South Asia. Even the Punjabis used to wear their lungis. See them doing bhangra. They do that in that lungi only. It is only lately they have shifted to track suits and bermudas as house wear.

Now we mostly prefer saffron coloured mundu(pancha) ,instead of lungi.....but still lungi is hugely popular among working classes..

AFSPA isn't in place in my state.I just spoke for the people under oppression of the Indian state and its rapist forces,due to the absence of members from those group,attitudes like yours no wonder contributing to the reasons they don't bother with this forum in particular or mainlanders in general about their own viewpoint.

Care to elaborate why the AFSPA was even constituted in some states in the first place? If it was not for seperatist idiots like you, such a Law wouldn't even exist. And what about all the lives taken by the rebels, many of whom were their own brethren? I anyways don't support the AFSPA, but because guys like you still exist in the Northeast, it's still a necessity.

Any land that is contiguously connected to a Nation, however thin be the connection, is neither an enclave nor an island, and hence cannot be distinguished as such. The Northeast is as much a part of the mainland as the South or Northwest. How hard is this to get?

And please don't try to feed me BS on our history. It may be a delicacy to you, not to me. Our cultural influence spread as far as South-east Asia and Yunnan in China during medieval times. Your land is neither isolated by the Himalayas nor was it cut-off from the rest of India at any time in the past as you've erroneously learnt. You're in the Indian sphere of influence, live with it. Or you can take up the gun and prove once more why the AFSPA is needed in the NE.

Please then implement it against maoist insurgents. Those are the separatist who kills our crpf jawans in 100s not NE separatists. Dont be hyppocrate mate, ground reality of NE is far different from Kashmir.
We are not second grade citizen to be manhandled with a dubious law.

So you basically haven't suffered any harm from our security forces, and yet want to scream about some supposed HR abuses elsewhere. One thing is clear now, I need to review my own position about AFSPA. I believe the likes of you fully deserve the glare of our Armed Forces.

It is for the forces to decide that. We are no professionals to understand the threat perception of NE. No one is claiming you are second grade citizens, but that law is there for a valid reason. Considering it was put in place during a liberal leftist govt.
