The jf17 program is inspired by gripen project not f16 project but it has a elements from f16 and point defense fighter don't uses BVR to fight

I didn't mention f-16 to say , that Jf17 was inspired by it.

My mention of F-16 was to compare Tejas, with a aircraft generally considered benchmark for medium weight fighters in the world.

Point is, there is a delay in supply of engines for aircraft's that are still under production.

As on today, about two months if we are to consider media reports. I mean a company that just got permission from Congress, to setup a manufacturing plant in India wouldn't be delaying the supply for a contract signed in 2021 without some reason no? They have already supplied 75+ engines already, and wouldn't want to lose 700+ million dollars of additional orders would they?

No one knows, if there has been some intimation about it to HAL even. Problem is that Indian media is crazy, and is getting crazier by the day. I don't trust them for even internal and general issues, its even harder to trust when its such important issue. 99.99% of time, they bungle up things and say they wrote it based on 'credible sources'.
