India's forex reserves rise for third straight week, hits 6-month high

$4 billion rise for Hong kong last week, $16.5 rise for China
Do these countries publish data of weekly rise in forex reserves? I don't think so because according to the latest report, China’s foreign exchange reserves increased by 0.33 per cent month-over-month. In that case, India’s forex reserves for the past 3 weeks rose by $15.15 billion

While it's a noble idea, it's not practical in current environment.
Even if you ignore the ever existing enmity, between both countries for that matter.

Reason: Pakistan is dealing with a lot now, and any such action will be seen in a different light, by differing factions in their power circles.
Its in times of crisis that neighbors are the ones that should stand together, simply because geography remains immutable.

It would be naive to think help would be offered and would result in long sustainable improved relations, but IMO just as we've reach this point of hostility incrementally over our shared history, there must be a way out.

Perhaphs, even naively, despite the past examples of such initiatives falling flat, one can hope that we would be able to resolve our problems peacefully. It remains an undeniable fact that to ascend to a global power, India would need her borders to be stable, peacefull and manned by friendly nations.

If England and France can be at each others throats for most of their history and resolve their differences peacefully to emerge as partners, why can't we?

One can hope.

Actually China is working hard to reduce its foreign reserve holdings in the last few years, without much success though, too much foreign reserves are not always a good thing and have long been one of China's headaches.

And Adani lost over 100 billion US dollars.

You foreign reserves are all based on debt.

Whoosh! thats not how FX reserves work.

Adani's stocks had a minor correction and that was in INR. Not $. Since they're public companies listed in the indian stock markets.

India increased $3 billion in just the last one week. An amount PK would bend over backwards for in its current crisis

This is what am worried about -- Might sound odd or cheesy even but, remember Krishna here. Karma kar, phal ki aasha mat kar. Ignore the religiosity or mythology attached to him, still he teaches a lot in administration and diplomacy along with other stuff.

People tend to see intentions very easily, so I will respectfully disagree with this aid part in expectation of something. Whatever it maybe for that matter.

Are we ready to help for the sake of help, and don't mind if relations don't normalize even after that? That's for the public to decide.

Example of England and France, I again disagree respectfully. Our culture and outlooks is entirely in the opposite way, so no it's not possible for at least next three generations in the least.

Lastly about the responsible neighbor part, I agree on that. However in current situation, it will be impractical. One's in ruling can't risk anymore, by accepting aid from us. It will be a stamp of Ghaddar in bold letters, if they do it.

We should help Pakistan if China and Saudi Arabia not doing it. This is just to get that goodwill with Pakistan you know. To show that we dont have any ill-will. We should give a couple of billion dollars.

I know Pakistan won’t accept it but still it’s gonna be good.
Not that Pakistanis are asking for it, but what will that 2 odd billions do? Understand that handing over money to them is not the solution. Their system is rotten now and unless they overhaul their economic policy, no amount of money will help. Give them 20 billion USD now and they'll be in same situation in next 6 months.
