India’s first high-speed electric locomotive to be launched today

.
I don't think India should need it

The indigenous content in these locomotives is 85-90%,which is more than what Alstom commited to(70%)

It looks like Pakistan's old locomotives.

Please show me Pakistan's 12,000 HP locomotive

.
Most locomotives in Pak are 2000-3000 bhp.

ZCU 30 from China is 3000 HP, ZCU 20 is 2000 HP. The GE Evo series is 4000-4500 HP, depending on the variants.

2000 HP variants are on the decline with increase in rail traffic...but since Pakistan rail traffic is very low compared to India with much lesser rail cars attached to an engine say 18 bogies in one go, in India usually it is twice that size, so a bigger powerful engine is needed in India. Its economical in Pakistan w.r.t to its current rail traffic.

lol.... You join two 6000 hp locomotive together, you'd get a 12000 hp locomotive. What kind of a BS thread is this?
Another scam in the coming in India.

Some people (not sure it is the people who buy it from French or the people in France) have no shame to claim high speed here high speed there.

Last time China launched a 200km/h locomotive, name it semi-high-speed locomotive.

LOL ........ Indeed.

THis is the chinese 12 K HP Locomotive  (license built from Alstrom)

BTW, the Kenya railway is 120km/1h.

These electric locomotive offers flexible platform with modular architecture to meet each operator’s needs: freight (maximum speed 120 to 140 km/h), passenger (maximum speed of 200 km/h) and mix versions.

Same logic applies here?

Last I checked this thread was about Indian locomotives.
I am also not aware much about the Chinese locomotives. All I stated was 6+6 =12. The same can be achieved with a WAG 9.
