In a thread, about Indian Army's misdeeds in Congo, somewhere along the line, you have dragged in East Pakistan..... so going by your logic, it's safe to conclude that your existence is due to the events that took supposedly took place back then.

Dealing with the gold for guns allegations first;

then Indian traders from Kenya.

Richard Ndilu, in charge of immigration at Mongbwalu airstrip, became suspicious in late 2005 when an Indian businessman arrived there and went to stay at the camp of the Pakistani peacekeepers.

So Indian businessmen were involved willy and nilly with the gold trading. Nice to see objectivity from the Indian members here, although I suspect it is purely accidental. In their haste to throw mud on Pakistanis they actually incriminate their own countrymen.

This is what the head of the UN in Congo said;

When we put the allegations of weapons trading to the head of the UN in Congo, Ambassador William Swing, he denied emphatically that peacekeepers had been rearming the militia.

"This I can categorically deny. What we have done is just the opposite. We have demobilised more than 20,000. We have taken in caches of arms. We have destroyed arms. We have done public burnings of these arms. And there is absolutely nothing to that allegation."

Let's say that there was a plan to bury the whole thing, yet we have not seen substantial convictions or the investigation actually finding the Pakistani peacekeepers guilty.




Now continuing with the Indian member's smear attempt, here is another article that found Indian peacekeepers doing the exact same thing that the Pakistani peacekeepers have been accused of! From the respected Guardian newspaper(UK);

Indian troops stationed around the town of Goma face charges of having widespread dealings with the violent FDLR militia, the former Rwandan army that fled to Congo after the genocide of 1994.

Accusations included the illegal buying of gold from the FDLR; the use of a UN helicopter to fly into the Virunga national park to exchange ammunition for ivory; trading UN rations for gold; the purchase of drugs from the rebels; and a general failure to support the disarmament of the group.

What was the conclusion of the investigation?

From the link;

Last year, the UN investigated the allegations against the Pakistani troops and concluded that one officer was responsible for trading gold with the rebels. It could not, however, find evidence that the Pakistanis had traded arms and ammunition with dangerous rebel militias.


One officer, whilst a parallel investigation found, again from the link;

A UN investigation into the charges against the Indian peacekeepers found evidence against three soldiers illegally dealing in gold and unlawfully detaining a trader.








As for the third link there was no rape and she was a prostitute hired by two policeman NOT SOLDIERS.

A U.N. investigation dismissed the rape charge but expelled the Pakistanis for hiring a prostitute.

Now going back to the first link. The UN investigations, the Pakistani army investigation has not found any evidence of molestation by Pakistani troops and nor has anyone ever been charged.


Now compare this with the Indian numbers;

The Indian Army has launched a court of inquiry against 12 officers and 39 soldiers allegedly involved in cases of sexual abuse while they were deployed as UN peacekeepers in strife-riven Congo, an officer said on Tuesday.

What he posted is just BS... Come up with something where anything was proved and our troops like indian peace keepers were told to leave the country by the host countries president/PM.

lol man, even if a husband performs sex with his wife without her wish / consent it is considered as rape. In this case 10 men had sex with her, although she thought there was one to bang her.
