Indians deploying SAMs closed to Pakistani Border??

If India has placed them so close to sam, their range must be mediocre that it is risking losing its sam to artillery.
  • But why in Sialkot sector? Why not in Kashmir which is a contested territory?
  • Another interesting aspect, Sabir Shaki has been saying this for a few days that US/Canada and Germany is sending chartered planes to lift their citizens. He thinks it is not just because of Corona and something else may be in making which is known to them. Is that a hint of an upcoming skirmish with India?

They are expecting Pakistan will retaliate at that sector if they attack AJK or they are planing an attack on that sector and preparing for counter action from Pakistan.

The blue isosceles triangle indicates the area where india is vulnerable, The only way a heavy offensive from PA can cut india from it’s occupied tip.

The red circle indicates the possible range of this SAM system.

Positioning reasons :

  • To avoid any Medium/Small range SAM attack by PA anywhere in the triangle especially wherever indian Military installations are.
  • Counter Babur/RAAD
  • Most importantly, To provide cover to IA and IA Aviation and form an offensive against PA artillery and advancing units and helis.
  • Don’t know what system it is but least of the concern and possibility (can’t come to a conclusion due to not knowing the system type so take this point as a what-if only), Against PAF F-16s which are patrolling the area most probably.

However, Taking this Indian installation down for PA isn’t much of a headache I presume. Only option is RAAD

Heavy offensive you mean How Many Troops ???
how Many Mechanized Formations

@Mangus Ortus Novem One more important point,
In case of a heavy war in IOK, Supplies and assisting troops, Armory will come through this route. They are vulnerable.
This will provide cover for them.

What are they deploying there btw ?

Heavy offensive you mean How Many Troops ???
how Many Mechanized Formations

Is it PAthanKot?

Block Pathankot and Indians in IOK will left without ground assistance from India to IOK

Shahzade,

We come back MaqboozaJammu again and again... as if it is always calling us.... do you hear it?

Feedback: Good surface attempt... you still digesting biryani, I guess.... but there are other factors which you have overlooked...wanted you to crack it open yourself...

Now regarding this 'deployment' so close to OurBorder is not just one thing but part of ManyThings @Signalian

I did try to draw attention to CeaseFireLine today... just one of those things.... that comes with clarity sometimes...

Now the good Indians have some massive agressive deployment in IoJK including Brahmos batteries and post 27thFeb they have hardened many a things including commz....

Then we need to be aware of their socalled Integerated Battle Groups on OurSouthernPunjab and Sindh...bascially Rajistan sector is an area of our concern.

Do we know the state of KhooniVirusSpread in the good IndianTerroristArmy? And which sectors are most effected, should this be the case?

Do we know the KhooniVirusSpread among the PakKashmiris in IoJK?

Why does this Indian deployment appears to be 'stupid' on the surface... a kinda easy target... yet it is there... Why?

If it is IndianDeception then Deception for What? Misdirection for what?

And if it is serious in nature then what is the logical chain of actions they could be planning?

How far is Kartarpur from this deployment?

MaqboozaJammu and SialkotSector need to be seen as one .... @HRK

Oil prices are down and shall remain down... WarFighting is a feul hungry beast...

My sense is that the good Indians are not playing dumb...but rahter have a clarity of plan-of-action in mind.

Now it could be defensive in nature if they have massive fallout from the KhooniVirus ...

Or it could be offensive if we have massive fallout from the KhooniVirus....

In either case Behind the CeaseFireLine there is something seriously off! And this is worrying!!!

Mangus
I am short of information, not following up things these days, (prayers needed for a severely ill family member (not virus)).

If I get to know the whole situation of this jammu region, I will definitely come up again with a better one.

Could you do a favor ? Invite people to this conversation, have a basic “What could be india up to” convo. Points you have raised, Really important and professional.

What concerns me is the “Deception” part, We have to dig in and in to discover the closest truth

Use the land based KORAL EW systems coupled with the link based BVR missile guidance while the fighter radar is OFF...

Insha'Allah PAF would be able to make a good quality Kebap out of them...
