You read it wrong, perhaps your lack of understanding of hindu mythology may be the culprit here.

No one is equating here to some god.

The mythology goes like this. Hanuman being very naughty in his childhood, as the nature of monkeys go, were a big nuisance and thus a saint make him forget all his divine capabilities. But he was merciful and said that hanuman will know all his powers once someone realizes him of those.

Parrikar just took the analogy and said Indian army had to realise its true potential just like Hanuman and perhaps he and his government want to take credit for making the army realise.

Although..i don't want to...because it doesn't look and feel good to talk abt destruction and war.....but still I want to repeat what Gen Zia, said to Rajeev Gandhi once.. If this goes nuclear, and both countries are destroyed, u said Pak will not exist, but India might.. But if we ensure destruction of India, and then Pak as a result( I don't want this to happen) Muslims in the world will still exist, but Hindus will almost cease to exist.. so its better for indian army to behave

I already said tht i dont want this ti hapoen by any means... But you in your post said tht if this happens, Pak might not exist, and india might still exist in some form.. I only responsed to tht...U brought the nuclear issue.. I only reacted..otherwise who in their right mind would ever want a nuclear war?
