Indian Students Prefer China Over Britain

Well, I guess China need to put indian student in “special” dormitory , since we have a lot Pakistani and American student
Seriously why China government is encouraging rapists (Indians) and pedophiles (low class whites) into their country is beyond dumb.

.
There are two aspects to this news which I will reach later.

1. Indians Trying to put Chinese universities down should understand quite a few chinese universities are better than your best.

2. Chinese frothing from their mouth need to understand it is transaction. Indian students like any other pay full fee unless they have qualified for some scholarships.

Now that I have addressed that, Chinese universities are definitely becoming better but they are not there yet. I suspect most of these students study in grade B/C/D chinese universities instead of the cream of the crop.

As Far as I am concerned Singapore universities are some of the best in Asia (For people who can only speak english apart from their native language) but you have to work your rear off to get in there.

looool !!!!

Understatement my friend.

Just because you cant make it into a Chinese university doesnt mean in anywhere its "getting better".

In fact chinese universities such as Tsinghua,Jiaotong,Peking universities receives tens of thousands of applications worldwide because its among the best in the world.

Lets look at top 10 EMBA program ranking done by FT. (Not state owned media)

PS: Can you find an India school in the top 10 ranking? Or in top 100? :D

That's the reason all the toppers left behind does so well in the math Olympaid. :)

Ya, ya. Not many people in India are interested in substandard exams. They have very high goal to top the world and they are not interested in scoring marks in some preliminary examinations. Those who can not do well in higher education satisfy themselves by participating in these substandard exams.

No one is pretending, so that makes you dumb and retarded.
Not at all but I've seen your previous postings.

Leaving that there, the British Indians are one of the most successful immigrants in the UK and only a minority of your kind have some issues with Indian origin people. Nothing but pure jealousy.

.
UK is way too expensive and not worth spending money anymore i think. also i heard that you have to leave once your studies are completed. you dont get to have a 1 year work permit. another positive could be that china is right next door so it's easier to come and go for kids.

Education in India, sadly, is not a pursuit for knowledge in the majority of the cases, it’s an activity for the students and a business for the institutions. You simply want to get on with it and move forward. It is supposed to be your key to the good, steady job.

Since there is no particular emotional attachment to this entire process of getting an education and acquiring knowledge or skill people very easily resort to unethical and unlawful activities in order to acquire fake diplomas and certificates from equally fake universities, colleges and diploma mills in India. Yes, you can shop around for a diploma, certificate or a degree with least effort.

There is no disgrace involved with cheating in examinations and there is such an atmosphere that in many cities and urban areas students think that cheating in examinations is as normal as appearing for examinations. The same attitude manifests in the acquirement of fake certificates, degrees and diplomas.

In most of the states where such malpractices are condoned and secretly encouraged (by families as well as the education mafia) people use fake certificates and diplomas to gain employment in the government sector where screening is not as stringent as in the private sector. We don’t mean to imply that since most of such people seek government jobs it is all right: we can see the effect the way various public departments function.

But now the problem is that people with fake certificates and diplomas are even applying for jobs in the private companies in increasingly greater numbers and there the impact can be devastating. Just imagine hiring an engineer or a software programmer who is qualified only on the paper he or she presents to you and otherwise he or she has not attended even a single class of the highly specialized stream. Even if you can throw the spurious employee out later on it may cost you lots of money and reputation. You need to find out the validity of the credentials before the person joins your organization as an employee.

Detecting fake certificates and qualification documents acquired from diploma mills and fake universities requires highly specialized equipment and know-how and they are available only with organizations and people who professionally handle such jobs. Wondering whether the employees your hiring are genuinely qualified or not? Partner with a reputed background screening company and they can easily find this out for you.

China is our friend and all but sorry there is no comparison between universities of UK and China. UK has one of the best education systems in the world with universities that encourage innovation and out of the box thinking. There is a reason that along with US it has the most universities in top 100 or 200 in the world. Chinese education suffers the same brain drain that our system does.

UK high school education even lower quality than Vietnam. All the blah blah about innovation is only a hoax. The only quality education which the UK still hold the advantage is English and some social sciences (and nich areas in natural sciences as well, which China or Japan still do not care about).

How they can innovate in serious things like science and technology when their students capability in math and other science are so poor (compared to China). They may be "innovative" in things like "inventing" new foods, "inventing" new fashion, innovative decorations etc. but that's it.

When the UK (and the West) still had the advantage about investment and facilities, it was natural that most of innovation science and tech would come from the West. But as soon as Japan (and now China, Korea, Taiwan etc.) catch up with the West in investment and build up the necessary facilities for research, the "not-innovative and only copying" education systems of China, Korea and Japan produced far more real innovations than all the West combined. Japan only is almost equal to all Europe (East and West) combined in numbers of patents. And not to mention about quality of such patents.

China is a good place for Indians as long as you are not a Muslim.

There are thousands of Pakistani students in China so that's blatantly false. You're making the mistake of projecting Indian third world slumdweller mentality on other countries. The Chinese don't beat up and lynch foreigners for looking different like Indians do.

I will not sell my soul. Chinese are atheists and they have implemented anti-religious policies against Islam, Falun Gong etc. I would any day pick EU & US over China.

China gets more Indian students than Britain

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Fresh data shows that there are more Indian students right here in the Asian neighbourhood than in the United Kingdom.
  • South Korea continues to send the maximum number of students to China, but a close second is the US and Thailand comes next.
  • In 2015, the number of Indian students in China was over 13,500.

MUMBAI: The old guard of blue-chip foreign education, Britian, has been upstaged by an unlikely rival: China. Fresh data shows that there are more Indian students right here in the Asian neighbourhood than in the United Kingdom. Though Indian students have been going to China to study medicine in significant numbers since 2010-11, experts attribute the latest shift to the "NEET mess" (the change in medical admission criteria in India) that took many by surprise and saw even more medical aspirants flocking to China after struggling to clear the new centralized admission test.

And now there is another preferential change: many Indian students are looking to pursue engineering there too. "It is a cost-effective destination, its medical degrees are recognized by the Medical Council of India, and the course is conducted in English," says study abroad-expert Pratibha Jain. There are now 18,171 Indians in China versus 18,015 in the UK, the numbers for 2016 reveal.

"China was a natural choice to turn to for most Indian students who did not clear NEET as there is a language issue in the case of Russia. Also, there is a popular perception that doctor graduates from Russia find it difficult to clear the MCI qualifying exam to practise in India." The average tuition fee for a Chinese medical university is between $2,000 and $3000 annually, plus an additional $1,000 to cover living expenses.

In 2015, the number of Indian students in China was over 13,500. as India ranked among the top 10 nations sending the highest number of students to Chinese varsities. In fact, China has now become the third most favoured nation of international students after US and UK. It has also paced up as a host destination and is the fifth-ranked choice for Indians leaving the shores for an education.

UK on the other hand, had slid in popularity after it did away with posteducation work visas. "Apart from the fact that China is not as expensive as the West, they offer jobs. Also, more and more Chinese universities are finding a place in the global rankings, indicating that they are of global quality," says Karan Gupta, career and education consultant.

South Korea continues to send the maximum number of students to China, but a close second is the US and Thailand comes next. Pakistan and India follow. When this decade opened, China was not on most students' radar; now, having made rapid strides in the unlikely field of higher education, it is attracting several thousand foreign students every year. Most of them are studying humanities, followed by medicine.

As far as Indian students there are concerned, the largest slice is pursuing medicine. But as Maria Mathai, director, MM Advisory, points out, "What started with medicine is now expanding to engineering too as we see a lot of Indians now enquiring about computer science courses in Chinese universities."
