It is economic meltdown . Even in US companies are no higher Indian anymore. Few months back its was crowd of Indian consultants in companies, now they all disappear. So, it not new. As far as Australia, its economy is not even 2 percent of US, so imagine the impact. But I would recommend to Indians, be Indian and don't act like FOB when they land in west, most of time their acts are very annoying for whites. Specially when they try to act like white guys.

If you think that way, then people in Asia had a chance 60 years ago under the name of Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, but how did that end?

Now, it is a just lost cause. Why fight when there are things we can learn from them. Besides there are too many difference between peoples from different countries for them to be united like in Europe. In 50 years time, things might take a new turn though.

Thats disgusting. Indians are awesome at what they do. They are naturally hardworking and extremely sincere. Its time the west realises that the talent pool lies in India and China. Indians more generally Asians are job takers, because westerners are not liked by their own compaies,, for reasons ranging from salaries to talent.

Driving away Indians or Chinese, is gonna hurt them more than in it will hurt us. US economy thrives on Indian blood. American people respect that, though their are resentments, but most Americans dont have problems with Indians/Chinese. And yet there are rarely any instance of violence against Asians in US.

Australians for that matter have little reason to be show their true colours, even that against Indian students.

Wht I experienced in the Wetsern world, especially Germany, isn't the fact they see them as job-takers. It is more their darker skin colour which makes Indians a target of Westerners. Combine their skin colour with the stupid opinion abt them being job takers and it equals such attacks. Just recently some Indians were beaten up.

America didn't become America without working hard but the fact is multinational company outsourcing for bigger profit and that has nothing to do with American being less hardworking though American will not work like slave.

I don't know the situation in Australia but the feeling for Indians in America is negative as many educated Americans out of job due to fact that many of the jobs out sourced to India over the years mainly in technical field also company like Microsoft bring Indians with V1 visa. I think things will turn around as American will not tolerate anymore as many graduate students are out of job and won't mind to work with less salary.

Hey i know i am of Indian origin but it is sad what happens here. The news doesn’t tell the whole story. There are a lot of “students” here that are here to work more than to study. When you go out most of the time they are drunk and whistling at many girls outside the clubs on the streets etc. I was with my girlfriend at Chapel Street on Friday night and there was a bunch that were trying to hit on her and yelling stuff to me. The thing about it is that they hang out in groups of 6 to 10 so girls don’t feel safe out alone anymore which was not the case 4-5 years ago. That night it was me my girlfriend and two of her friends. I could have gotten in a fight but was outnumbered and not drunk enough. What saddens me the most is that they are mostly Punjabis from the pind that give the rest of us a bad name too! I have had a few people complain to me about it as if i can do anything about it but it is becoming embarrassing that you are out with your friends and things like this happen and you kind of feal like its your fault and somehow you are a part of it.

I really should go to Australia. I see so many Australian women here and none of them turn my head. Apparently all the Lebs chase after white Australian women, and the Indians. Turns them into sex freaks. Must be an amazing country, that Australia. Or perhaps it's just me and my mountainous origins that causes me to be different

I have heard that when Indian/Pakistanis shift in a housing area in Australia, the property prices actually go down , because the demand of the area falls down.

And its true cause i heard it from a reliable source.

hmm... there are classes here and some of the areas like Glen Waverley in Melbourne have a fair amount of Indians/ rich Chinese and this area is kinda expensive whereas there is another place called dandenong where majority of Indians/ sri lankans /Sudanese live and that’s really cheap... it doesn’t matter whether they are indian or not it depends on what kind people they are what kind of houses they have...
