Why weren't Qing troops stationed in Lhasa.
That just goes to show your poor knowledge of history. Stop embarrassing yourself by asking such dumb question.

Indian rubbish talks about rubbish.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Right. I suggest you take Tibet as a part of India, as long as you can. Or you can wait till 2030, then you can do whatever you like. We have nothing to say. Just welcome, just launch the missile, pls.
I know you have nothing to say... what can a loser say?
See the photos again. After seeing the photos, I feel, I would commit suicide if the next morning I wake up as a Chinese.
Part by part, bit by bit, India is eating you up. It all started with Ladakh, then South Tibet, then Sikkim, then Bhutan, and now it will be Lhasa.
Because... No piece of land belongs to anyone on this earth except they who can conquer or defend it.
Very soon there will be action inside Tibet. India is not sitting idle, just wait and watch.

read Tibet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
read the history section..around that time(Qing dynasty),Tibet was not under their direct control, they China somehow didctate their policy and sometimes give protection.sometime China sent their own missions into Tibet...after 1912,Tibet got independence..
Invading the Sovereign Land of Tibet and self imposing rule on the indigenous people of Tibet is a Crime ...
But sadly what Choice India had which itself was a colony of Britain ...
Stop pushing all the blame on the British because we all know India wanted to annex Tibet and keep it for herself.
in 1904,that included pakistan too..
Guys (Indians) - please ! It wasn't as if INDIAN TROOPS UNDER INDIAN commanders went up there. These Indian soldiers were used by the Brits as part of their army and the discussion stops at that.
As for Qing Troops not in Tibet - you can clearly see (if any Indians here can read the Chinese script) .
Fattyacids has correctly pointed that part out . There is no dispute about the Chinese (Qing) not being there.
And besides, as an Indian I would like to ask fellow Indians and fellow posters - what are these pictures going to prove? Can we get Tibet ? No. Are we able to rustle up China's feathers and "free" Tibet? No.
These are historical relics (pictures) at best and an example of how the cunning , scheming Brits used subcontinental soldiers for their campaigns in far off lands - Afghanistan included.
@Aeronaut - this thread might go into another troll fest.
