Good to see the Indian Rupee collapsing.
Your high IQ is talking again, genius. Kindly refrain from displaying childish behavior. Sometimes these high IQ comments makes me think all chinese have a humor of 12 year old.
"collapsing", "annihilation","pulverize", Guess you guys get your daily dose as your door hangers every morning.

National Bank of Pakistan fell 3.26 per cent to 47.15 rupees while Pakistan State Oil Co Ltd was down 2.01 per cent to 295 rupees.

The rupee ended weaker at 104.44/104.52 against the dollar, compared to Thursday's close of 104.35/104.40.

This bubble is not as fragile as you may assume. Millions of Indians are rushing money into India which is a good news for the future of ruppee, winter will bring back ruppe strong as ever, leaving NRI's like me with extra cash in our pockets.. I don't see the same for Pakistan.?

People are missing the woods for the trees. The tone of the article is gloomy for sri lanka, and good for India. India's exports will rise and imports will fall, helping to narrow the trade imbalance. The automobile sector should gear up (so to speak) and increase exports to Sri lanka and other markets.

Wow you must have been a economic adviser to George w Bush.

Wow you must have been a economic adviser to George w Bush.

Did you read the article that started the thread? It says precisely what I said:

Since India is one of our main trading partners, with the sharp depreciation of the Indian rupee we expect the risk of an increasing import bill and widening trade deficit, she said.

The major concern is motor vehicles and there has been a growing possibility that the importation of motor vehicles into Sri Lanka could accelerate in the period ahead, CB sources said.

And remember, that's the sri Lankan point of view, about the trade with India. Now if you have anything valuable to contribute, other than snide one-liners, I'd be happy to hear.

Why are they so hyped about tiny India-SriLanka trade?? Don't they get lots of tourist dollars to offset this imbalance?? And whats up with 100 percent duty hike on cars?? What kind of govt. policy is that???

In my opinion if you want to change peoples habits it is better to give them options. It is counter productive to hike duties. If you impose unreasonable duties you may be causing unreasonable hardship for future car owners.

Indeed. My family began moving 300k AUD from Australia to India a few weeks ago and the process has been completed.

That being said, we have as much money invested in China and especially a family friend's business >_>

It's not a duty hike, just something like from now the importer will be required to pay 100% of the price of goods in advance to the LC issuing bank.

This is nothing compared to Pakistani Rupee. indians are known of making little issues bigger, just 65 & they are over reacting alot...look at PKR which is touching 110 against US$.

Precautions are always needed when dealing with the Indians - rubber is your friend.
