Indian Railways enters new league! Swanky 160 kmph engine-less Make in India train is too good

. .
These seats have been air-lifted from Spain; apart from the braking system and transformers, these are the only imported components, say officials.
why? cant manufacture seats to specifications in India within 18 months? 1.3 billion population!

. . .
Ind railways has a set an example for us
I hope this model is successful and is taken up for mass production. Given SAARC countries are using Broad gauge tracks (1 676 mm), this trainset in a Diesel Electric version has good export potential to neighboring countries at a fraction of cost of true HSTs and given its great features, it should be a hit with passengers.

How many KMs of trial run for any new model in India?

Trials will be in 3 stages and a total of around 4000 kms run should be made. These will be completed in about 2 months. If no glitches are found for correction, these trains should go into regular service by March next year on commercial run.

Just 4000km?
Are you sure?
In China, the minimum is 600k km.
Even just adding one car to a 16-car bullet train will require 600k km in various conditions.
Many new types will get knocked out during this process.

This is in addition to endurance testing.
Before certifying a new vehicle, designers carryout oscillation and ride quality test apart from usual safety tests such as braking, acceleration and stability. This is carried out (for this specific case) at 110 kph, 180 kph (Kota Sawai madhopur) and finally at 160-170 kph on New Delhi Bhopal (current shatabadi express route). After these tests Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will certify the train for commercial operation. However any glitches would need to be rectified before taking further tests.

distance between Moon and Earth: 385,000 kms
I suppose this is the cumulative distance during testing accumulated over a period of time of testing.
I am worried about the types of commuters who will board the train.
Absolutely Dada.
Passengers are notorious for poor civic sense and can convert any swanky train to a pretty bad state as IR found in case of Tejas Express.
