Introducing the F-21, Mike Kelley, vice president of India Aeronautics, Strategy and Business Development, said the single-engine F-21 jet would have the most optimal life cycle cost, lower by 30%, and lower carbon footprint compared to the closest twin-engine competitors for the Indian Air Force, besides ensuring the longest service life of 12,000 flight hours. The F-21 will complement India’s Tejas and Rafale in playing a critical operational role for the Indian Air Force, the company said.

The fighter wings to be exhibited are manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aerostructures (TLMAL), a joint venture between Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) and Lockheed Martin, which is also the single global source of C-130J empennage assemblies that are installed on the all-new Super Hercules aircraft with over 190 deliveries. The fighter wings are made with 74% indigenisation, integrating over 70 Indian suppliers.

Boeing is shutting off the superhornet line in 2025 - so did the IN reject it?

Some medias are posting that Navy is preferring Rafale M. But nothing much concrete.

Personally speaking once 31 March 2023 is crossed, we will enter into election year. This means a major deal will not happen. MMRCA, or P75I or Navy's MRBCF. Everything will have to wait for a new Government in 2024.

French head of state might visit and if some form of IGA is signed with him then we will see some progress, else nothing till 2nd half of 2024.

One issue which goes against Super Hornet is that Armed Forces can only spend 25% of the capital budget on direct imports. So if Navy is going to buy Super Hornet, then for like 3-5 consecutive years, things like additional P8I of MH60R or MQ9B won't be coming.
