As for Sikh turban, it is mandotory for every Sikh man to wear it.

Yet i have seen lots of Sikh men without turbans....
So does that mean if one suddenly finds his religion and starts wearing one he should be stopped ... "Hey you did not wear one before how dare you wear one now "

You want him to enforce the Hijab ?

Yeah .. why not.. if he feels it is mandatory n Islam, why not make his countrywomen follow it? Should't his sympathies lie with his fellow Bangla sisters first?

Why do muslims

when in living minority of a democratic and secular society demand and impose their dress code and own culture in name of freedom of religion

and while living in muslim majority country which almost always is an Islamic state , never gives similar concessions to people of other religions ???

It is not wearing we have a problem with

Why are Sikhs allowed to wear turbans in all Indian colleges, but Muslim women aren't allowed their headcover in certain colleges?

She's taking it the wrong way!
Every student in the college has to follow the dress code and the colleges have the right to make and enforce dress codes!
E.g-In our college,we are not allowed to wear Jeans and/or T-shirts without collars!

Maybe or some Sikhs maybe just too westernized .... like westernized muslims

not like that...there are some sects in sikhism which do not advocate turban..i don't remember names of those sects..

what one has to understand is that one has to follow rules of private institution...hindu and jains are not allowed to use bindi or tilak in convent schools..if one has problem with this then he or she will join some other institution..

Its a private institution . Just like some Christian schools don't allow Hindu students to wear a bindi.

Which Christian schools would they be? Do they specifically ban the wearing of the bindi, but not the wearing of a turban or a Hijab?
