I was born and brought in Mumbai. Mumbai is somewhat like Pakistan. Azaan is blasted through loudspeakers continuosly from 4 am to 5 am,
I love the sound of Azaan. As I love the Ganesh artis. Or church bells for that matter. That's how a uniquely secular India was supposed to be. Everyone to love and participate in the other's good religious tidings? I don't see what could be wrong with that arrangement.
There are Sonu Nigam types who are annoyed by the Azaan. I've been away from India for far too long to realize there's like millions of Sonu Nigam types. It certainly wasn't a problem when I was there.
If you don't like living in an integrated neighbourhood, get out and go live a place where your community/caste is in majority. Nobody's stopping you. For many people in Mumbai, there's just not the option to be living in segregated surroundings. It's such a cheek-by-jowl place.
Muslims praying in middle of the roads,
As if Hindus don't erect pandals in the middle of the road. Again it's a lack of space thing.
Muslims couples walking around with 10-15 children.
That's a flat-out lie. No one in the world today has the luxury to create 10-15 children. At most I have seen 2-3 or 4-5 children in Mumbai. Also many Muslims live in joint families. So if you saw too many children, there was someone going out with his brother's or even neighbour's kids.
What kind of monster feels ANGER towards innocent children? Maybe Rajnikanth does, he's a pos in real life (sorry if your his fan)
Btw I am shifting back to Mumbai next week. Wish me luck!
Do bring ear mufflers and oxygen filters given your xenophobia towards Muslims.
Pune is going Mumbai's way due to influx of North Indian and Bangladeshi Muslims. But it isn't as worse as Mumbai yet.
Pune. How come so many Hindutvadi bigots per live in that city per sq. km? That's why it will always remain a shadow or distant cousin of Mumbai. It's grown in area and population but certainly a small town conservative mindset. Well each to their own.
As I said to another poster, if you're a non-Maharashtrian in Mumbai, you most likely have never cared about Pune. I didn't even know there was a word called "Punekar" in the pre-Internet era. To be sent away to Poona was considered a colloquial slang for a mental asylum or something, similar to Alibag.
Of course the Internet era has changed all that. But still fewer people in Bombay care about Pune.
I really think Bombay should separate from Maharashtra and be its own Union Territory or something.
Lol yes bro.
Honestly no one watches them anymore. It was more of a past generational thing. If you ask young Brit Pakistani men/women they give you a funny look.
Hilarious how popular Ertugrul is as well here haha.
Modern Bollywood is the worst. They have completely lost the plot when it comes to acting, dialogues, screenwriting, music. Despite superior technology such as Ultra-HD camerawork and electronic music, the disappointing lack of acting and writing talent has turned Bollywood into utter trash.
Do you know what happened to this ba$tard? He went blind in both eyes, lost his hearing and became wheel chair bound. He was released on grounds of ill health, as the prison couldn't look after what is best described as a vegetable. Karma caught up with this 'warrior'.
Jesus Christ. I don't wish that on even enemies. But in life, there are consequences for being a jack-hole. I am not saying I feel delighted at someone's misery in that manner. But definitely it is justice.
Anyway RIP brothers and sisters of Gujarat, you won't be forgotten.
They will never be forgotten and Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will have to be tried for those crimes in Hague or other tribunals. If not in earth, then surely in heavenly court, these two scumbags will never get away for what they did.
