BTW, ironically the "Times of Islamabad" is producing bogus reports about the Indian ambassador raping Afghan students, and Pakistanis are buying it all hook, line and sinker, without even bothering to ask basic questions of credibility. Note that none of the Pakistanis commenting there even doubt the obvious BS. Do we need lessons on media studies from them? At our media doesn't manufacture such BS, and our viewers know to question and critique the media.

This is just some news site on the internet and is realtively new. It has no value. There are tons of such websites on the internet. TBH I didn't even know about it until yesterday.

The rest of the world is mature enough to know that with hundreds of TV channels, most will be pretty crappy. (Local TV and radio stations in the US make people cringe.) The rest of the world doesn't share Pakistan's obsession at searching for easy targets to ridicule.

Yes most TV news shows are crappy, but what I find crappier is opening such a thread and gleefully mocking for pages, as if that makes Pakistanis superior by comparison. Sheer immaturity. I mean all the posts in general here, not yours in particular.

I'd love to read an informed critique of the media. What I see here is anything but. What I see on this thread is a display of the very immaturity that posters are attacking news channels for.

I hope you also save this opinion for scores of YouTube channels created by Indians, whose only purpose is to take clips from Pakistani channels and manipulate them for their own purposes to mock Pakistan. But then again, what can one expect from shameless, hypocrite Indians?

If I was a youtube member, and active in discussions there, I certainly would tell what I said here to anybody who merited it there. On this forum, I can only communicate to whoever posts here. If you find anything wrong in what I wrote, address that instead of directing me to other websites.

Times of islamabad is a random website. Just like any other website on internet. It stands nowhere in Pakistani media. Ask any random guy in any Pakistani city and he would be unaware of any such website. If you think "times of Islamabad" is Pakistani media then you need to learn more about the term "Pakistani media".

India media is the worst. It even runs fake video against its own people. What can be worst than having someone like Arnab Goswami as a editor in chief of a major new channel of India? That guy is editor in chief of a major new channel. Got it? How pathetic is that. Arnab Goswami. The same guy who screams like a widow every night on Times now. That proves how pathetic your media is.

Look at this planted news, Indians caught pants down again:

Pakistan on Thursday claimed that a leading Indian channel aired a “forged” interview of a Pakistani official in which he allegedly confirmed India’s surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the border.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs alleged that CNN News18 has aired a “forged” interview of police officer of Azad Kashmir Ghulam Akbar, in which he has allegedly confirmed India’s surgical strikes.

“The reporter impersonated himself as Inspector General Police Punjab,” the Ministry said in a statement.

“Akbar has categorically denied having spoken over phone and that it is not even his voice on the recording run by the said Indian TV channel,” the Ministry said.


Pakistan strongly denounces Indian media’s “despicable” act of fraud of airing of a fake programme aimed at twisting and “fabricating stories for domestic political consumption”, the Ministry said.

“This is a clear indication that certain quarters in India are desperate to prove Indian false claim of surgical strike by ‘hook or by crook’, it said.

“We hope that CNN would take up the matter very seriously with the affiliate Indian TV channel and initiate action against the channel, as not doing so will be regarded as directly owning to this unethical and manipulative act. We reserve the right to take necessary legal action against the said TV channel,” the statement said.

The CNN News18 news report said Akbar admitted that surgical strikes did happen. Pakistan had rejected as “false” and “concocted” the Indian claim of surgical strikes within Pakistani territory following the Uri terror attack that killed 19 Indian soldiers last month.
