Pakistan's media is miles better than that of India's. And here I am only talking about the English print media like The Dawn. From what I have seen of the TV News channels in Urdu, they seem to be even more dumber as the ones in India. The only thing missing is Pakistan's version of Arnab Goswami and Fox News.

As rightly pointed out by you in the Q details, The Dawn surely is an excellent media organisation who know what they are writing and are objective and sensitive enough ti all their readers. And the people who read and comment on articles on their website sound like the most sensible Pakistanis out there. Sadly, we simply do not have a mainstream media that ticks all my boxes for sanity and objectivness. Indian media is too judgemental and too self centric with regards to reporting the news. Is horrible in covering the world politics and is way too obsessed with Bollywood.

Well you can't blame media, without understanding the reasons behind it. media is a business and as a business they will show stuff that sells. There is a very old saying " Good news is no news and bad news is good news".

In one video by Arnab goswami ,he made fun of an old Pakistani general's english.(The old man was probably in his 80s or 90s so he couldn't speak properly)

It was really hard for me to understand because he was using so much sanskirt, but what I got is that according Indian media

1. TEL cannot look similar
2. China cannot provide TEL design to Pakistan directly, it has to come via N. Korea
3. TEL means transfer of nuclear technology
4. TEL is the most advanced piece of equipment in the entire world because India has failed to make one

As as a Pakistani, I'm rather happy, if that's their standard, we shouldn't worry too much..I think they provide us with free entertainment since there is real paucity of quality comedy shows..they are making fools of themselves not only in the world but also for sensible Indians and for them I really fret how do they bear all this.

While i agree that Indian media has its own flaws and draw backs........ The cherry picking is absolutely fun to watch....... They doesnt know how many channels are available in India..... I am sure we have more than 1000 channels operates in India and close to 300 of them are 24/7 news channels....... Now if one want to cherry pick, can easily do based on his interest and intention......
