Indian Manned Space Program

Mate, when the USSR helped ISRO/India- India was the toddler and the USSR was a global leader in this arena. Now if your objective is to boost Iran's space program then cooperation with ISRO will meet this objective. However, if the objective is to bring about tangible benefits to ISRO then working with Iran will add little to an organisation like ISRO.

Iran isn't the USSR/Russia, they are behind ISRO in almost every field (not intended to be hurtful just the reality).

Co-operation for the sake of co-operation won't get ISRO anywhere, one has to be selective with who you collaborate with. Right now ISRO is just fine on its own so why bring in a junior player?

If india going manned mission, then why not collaboration. India provide tech and Iran provide half of its cost, in return the half of the astronaut would be from Iran.

Whats the problem in this. @SOHEIL

Holy shit! Are these figures accurate dude? If it is, Im so f-king impressed by the specific and total impulse. Quick question why is there such a difference between the thrusts of both rockets?

Both of them using solid HTPB as propellant ...

But there are some secrets about these propellants that make difference !

The nature of Iranians !

we can't sell our oil ... so we don't have a big mount of money like arabs!

but unlike arabs we can offer scientific & technical robust !

we already demonstrated life support systems ...

but because of the lack of funds , our programs going so slow ! :(

Lol, we are on shortage of funds too.

One thing @SOHEIL , that $1bn Iran invest in $2bn Indian Manned Space program, in return you got your half seats in program, like ISS collaboration. And also in return, with $1bn , India buy the iranian oil.

So, the money came back to iran, and Iran get its half of seats in whole program. Like in first Commander will be Indian, and other two will be from Iran. In second mission, commander is from Iran, and other two from India. Like that thing.

There is nothing called 'backward' or 'forward' countries.......talent is there in every country......it's just that they don't get the necessary 'polishing' due to lack of resources....but collaboration means more resources, so, collaborations can never be bad......it will translate into faster growth and advancement for all the collaborators....

We haven't become so f*cking advanced that we cannot collaborate with Iran.......or for that matter any other country.....

The future of humankind is collaboration......

This is impossible >>> Sanctions !

Yes ... we don't have anything to offer :(

huh.......but Its the U.S/west who sanctioned Iran not India. Or is India following U.S policies?o_O

not now may be...but Sanctions are not going to stay forever..US had to recognize even cuba...and i think Iran is much better placed internationally compared to cuba....

Space collaboration with Iran for now is not possible...except may be launching of satellites because India needs collaboration of US and Israel for more technology...but as i said decade or 2 later..who knows..

Thats a very honest observation.:D

Business will come for sure- ISRO's high profile successes and impressive record will ensure this. But the best way to increase business is to develop ISRO's capabilities yet further and I don't think collaborating with Iran would work towards this objective.

I think you're taking a hard line here. May not work out, but no point in saying let's not explore. Science is for everyone.

& what will happen to iran's indigenous program !?

. . . .
So what id the meaning of indigenous?
what are you trying to say??
It's not just about seeing one's own countryman in space but to acquire the technology to do so on your own.....each country want's to advance in science and tech. on their own, otherwise India wouldn't have pursued manned space program after 'Rakesh Sharma'....

Why are you so desperate to involve Iran my friend? I have no issue with Iran at all but why start pimping out ISRO like this? ISRO's budget is modest right now but the Indian economy is growing and has much better days ahead, in time ISRO's budget is going to swell. ISRO should remain as Indian as possible and there is no need to go to Iran for such assistance.

OMG , no one is desperate to do anything , let the man express his opinions for god's sake .

iran is not in a position to even support it's own program let alone others , so don't worry .

everyone will follow its own program , we are just here to congratulate our indian friends (if thats okey with u) , and thats it ....

iranians out . @SOHEIL
