It was in Aug 1947....just days before independence from the British. I am not sure about the circumstances.

He would have been made Governor in Srinagar and became one when Indian Independence Act of 1947 kicked in on August 15 which made dominions of India and Pak free nations and all Princely States were free to remain independent or join either dominion. Ghansara Singh can't be deposed before that because he wasn't the Governor before that.

UNSC Resolutions call for negotiations on a withdrawal by both sides. India, Pakistan and the UN have to agree with the withdrawal conditions.

There is no requirement on Pakistan to withdraw unilaterally & unconditionally.

Too Bee Fair as much as I hate india and indians, I have to admit that between the 1960s & 2010s, india produced excellent, high quality educated leaders who did an impressive job for their nation and people. During those times, it was possible for india to potentially be able to compete with China. Not anymore. Despite what modi and other indian leaders say nowadays, everything they do seems to be bad for india. It's almost as if they are working for powers who are anti-indian. It never ceases being funny that every time I discuss this topic with Pakistanis, they 100% GET what I am trying to say. Or do they just tell me what I like to hear? Maybe not.

indian leaders and political officials of yesteryears were highly educated and refined people that were capable of competing with anyone. They caused us so many problems. They were a major threat to Pakistan. The ones nowadays are like a bad comedy show. They are no longer a threat to Pakistan but more of a joke. But indians seem to love them so it's a win-win for all.

Count the Muslims in your neighbouring land. Count the Hindus in your backyard. Do check how your brothers are treated by your all weather friend. But as you said we do have people with genocidal tendencies in this region.
