Indian girl killed as sacrifice for a good harvest

A seven-year-old Indian girl, Lalita Tati, was kidnapped in the remote village of Jailwara in Chhattisgarh state, and murdered as a sacrifice to a goddess for a good harvest.

She was reported abducted in October and was found one week later mutilated and her organs had been cut out for the offering.

Two local farmers, Ignesh Kujur and Padam Sukku, have been arrested for the inhumane killing.

Lalita was believed to be walking home after watching television at a neighbour’s house when she was kidnapped.

Superintendent Rajendra Narayan Das, police chief of Bijapur district, said, “They have confessed that they cut her body and offered it to the goddess to ensure a good harvest.” He also said that he had “recovered the suspected murder weapon, and revealed that money was found placed by the feet and head of the body.” The men could now face the death penalty if found guilty.

Firstly this is the third time this has been posted and the OP should check to see if they are putting old threads up - it brings the forum quality down.
Secondly this is clearly a terrible crime and is a very rare event ANYWHERE. The bastards that committed this crime will get punished and we should leave it their.
