'Indian food is terrible' tweet sparks hot debate

And in Indian/Pakistani Foods and dishes there are lots of influence from Turkey, so you're saying indirectly Turkish food and dishes are TERRIBLE:p:;):enjoy:
Bro, even Swedes also got infleunce from Turkish cuisine , doesn't mean I am gong to like the rest of the food.

Indian food looks nice though, and the smell I agree with, just too overbearing. But I always get dissapointed with the taste. Almost makes me feel sick. And I am not exaggerating

If they didn't use heeng, the smell wouldn't be an issue

Tarka smell is the worst, this is why Asian people shouldn't have open plan kitchens, and should have expensive extractor fans. When my wife cooks i insist the door is closed, the kitchen windows are open (whilst frying the tarka) and the extractor fan is on. She also has clothes she wears only when cooking handi. Once the handi is done, she changes.

I hate it when people don't make that effort and then they go out in public smelling of fried onions and spices.

I think if heeng isn't used, the smell shouldn't be an issue. But yes, ventilation is a must for our food cooking if you wanna maintain your property value.

Indians hate Muslims in general but claim Muglai cuisine as their own which is pretty hypocritical.
Indians constitute Hindus, muslims, christians, Sikhs etc, so you need to correct your sentence there. Hindutva/Sanghis would be more appropriate. And many places in Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad etc are known for exquisite Mughlai dishes.

Real estate agents in the US also call Indian food disgusting due to its everlasting smell that sticks to the home. As soon as one walks in to a home ready for sale (meaning that it has been professionally cleaned), the smell is still very apparent as the smell sticks to the walls of the house.
That's because Americans and westerners in general use cheap and crappy material for interior walls like sheet rock which even develops black mold very quickly which is deadly for humans, forget Indian food smell.

I wouldn't disagree there regarding the cheap material for most newer American homes but I have never experienced any mold issues in my 25 years here, not even in the basements.

What would potato eating Irish know about food. I mean what is Indian food anyway? India is so big and diverse the tastes and flavours vary from place to place. Even in Pakistan, we have totally different cuisine in different parts. Some of the food is excellent, some of it might not be to everyone's taste.

I personally thank Allah that I was born Pakistani where we have such a variety of rich cuisine. It's not overly spicy like Gujurati food, it's not too bland like some Arab food, and thankfully it's not potatoes and beatroots like Slavic food. Don't get me wrong, i love Arab food and sometimes i really enjoy spicy food, but the balance and variety we have in Pakistan, makes me glad.

Also a lot of our food is made of dishes from the Mughal courts and the courts of emperors, it's not all peasant food, unlike some cultures. Makka ni roti and saag is nice every now and then, but I much prefer lamb pulao or chapal kebabs.

Controversial statement - I don't like paye. Never had a good version of them, don't get the fuss. Much rather have halwa puri and chanay.
Gujaratis add sweet/sugar to most of their dishes. They aren't spicy. South Indians eat spicy food. Cuisine of Indian sub-continent is indeed diverse. I find Paaya, Haleem, Biryani, Kebabs etc quite mouth watering but hate Poha(North Indian dish), Wada Pav etc. I think, it mostly boils down to one's personal choice.

I guess it depends on which region you live in. Places that experience damp and moist weather conditions are especially vulnerable to developing mold due to damp climate.

It's very rude to say food was/is terrible when someone serves you unless you are in a restaurants and they try to punk you.

Apart from that, it's okay to find or call any cuisine terrible if you don't like it.

As for me, I personally prefer bland food as I get heartburn alot. Though at times I do crave for spicy food. lol

if you don't respect others, then i have to say that, you don't have any respect from others, respect should have been earned, its not a buying thingy
