As if Egyptian pilots don’t know how to navigate their own canal, the New Delhi Post shamelessly blames the locals while trying to hide the incompetence of the Indian crew who cannot just sail straight

For all those who can't consume how Indians were handling such a large ship, do keep in mind we are not new to this business. Worlds largest ship was also entirely managed by Indians..

Having been in the industry for last 15 years ..I can vouch for the fact.. that Chinese ..just like their drivers.. are considered horrible sailors, .

When ever we see a Chinese ship ..we are freaking scared for our lives .. because we don't know .. which way they are gonna turn...you can not ascertain their intentions .. because they can't speak English for $hit sake.

They have never read the rule book(probably never got translated into Chinese.)

We have to take extra precautions, when ever we come across Chinese manned ships.

Every ship get 6 to 8 Egyptian pilots..3 to 4 Egyptian mooring men, 1 Egyptian electrician and 1 Egyptian tug boat on standby .. when transiting through Suez Canal and Suez canal authority charges hundred of thousands dollars for providing these services.

Indians can speak English and still f-led up the sues canal. It’s confirmed that Indian sailors were responsible and not the pilots. After all it’s not egyptian pilots fault that Indian sailors tried to dive a sub without closing a hatch nearly sinking their own sub. Or that Indian truck driver ignored stop signs in Canada which killed most of a hockey team causing a national tradegy

This is very true, for example in Australia, Aussie pilots take control of the ship and guide the ship into port.

The Chinese can't even understand basic English and prove a massive risk.

Errrr...no. The captain is ultimately responsible.
The captain can decide to wait out the strong windy weather. There were several other ships that did just that.
Knowing the windy forcast the captain can also request for a tug to assist the Transit.
The captain of the Ever Given did not do either.

If Indian English skills are so great, why did an Indian decide to ignore a stop sign and cause the humbodt broncos tradegy 2 years ago killing 16 hockey players. Or the Indian captain of the evergreen decide to ignore all wind warnings and was the only ship that f-led up. Seems like Indians with their “queens” level English managed to creat bigger f-k ups than Chinese with no understanding of English in terms of driving
