No. Not possible - they are generally considered inept. If they knew, they would have detained the Aussie at the Australian airport itself. An Indian national and his wife who were arrested after being found living in Australia without valid visas are to be deported.

An Indian couple detained after they were allegedly found living illegally in Australia will be deported to India, the Australian Border Force has said.

ABF officers found a 37-year-old Indian national and his 35-year-old wife at a property in Griffith last Friday while investigating a tip-off on illegal labour hire activity. They have been taken into immigration detention after they were found to be without valid visas.

An ABF spokesperson told SBS Punjabi that arrangements are being made to deport them.

“These individuals remain in immigration detention while arrangements are made for their removal from Australia,” a department spokesperson said.

Officers also recovered some documents allegedly related to illegal labour hire work.

ABF Field Operations Commander James Copeman said they were particularly targeting people who were organising illegal work in regional areas.

“Illegal workers are often underpaid and poorly treated, and those facilitating their employment are making significant profits at their expense.” Commander Copeman said.

The ABF did not comment on whether any illegal labour hire contractors were apprehended.

A spokesperson said the ABF is working to “detect those who are influencing demand for cheap labour hire through the recruitment, supply of foreign workers, who are often then the victims of exploitation.”

The Department of Home Affairs and Australian Border Force work closely with partner agencies and the community to address the exploitation of foreign workers and systematic visa fraud within the migration programme.

I have met Indians here in Australia doing shitty jobs but they still tell me they would rather be here in Oz than in the great, wonderful country of India.

I often ask them why they are working for $10 an hour and they tell me that it is better than what they get in India, where if you are a cleaner you are looked down on.

Internet Indians claim that India is so wonderful and perfect, I have been there and my partner was sexually abused/harassed.

And when I talk to Indian women here in Australia the stories they tell me would make you throw up and why they would rather be here in Australia.

So why your forefathers immigrate en masse to America, Australia or Africa. Were England (or Italy, Germany, whatever) such shitty holes that your forefathers had to leave in desperate?

And your (and your children) legality to live in Australia is not proved yet. 50 - 100 years later, Indian (or Chinese), if strong enough, will say they have the right to protect the Aborigines in Australia and send their people and ships to your country. Unfortunately, india is a very conservative society and homosexuality is a taboo subject and usually looked down upon if One is open about it in public.
I’m sorry that you and your partner had an unfortunate incident in India.
In the future, do note that 3rd world countries do not take kindly to homosexual couples publicly.

India has a long way to go as far as such subjects are concerned.
