Indian Cites changes its name

Why the change of names? What are the reasons?

India always copy China.

So when Chinese PRC changed the name from Peking to Beijing in 1958, India started to follow this trend.:enjoy:

Indus originates in China. 94% of the river flows through Pakistan, majority of the Indus Basin falls in Pakistan [minor parts in China, Afghanistan, India] and you think it has nothing to do with Pakistan. That would be like me saying River Ganga has nothing to do with India. Or Nile nothing to do with Egypt.

Indus originates in Tibet which was part of Ancient India. Tibet is abode of Lord Shiva.

Tibet was never part of india..if anything it was a seperate entity for like most of its history... their culture, religion.customs and way of life are completely different than you..

Lord shiva? lmao.... we got a problem we cant prove that a mythical guy even existed let alone having his abode in a buddist country..

Budhism was introduced to Tibet by a monk from Gandhara.
Yep. And if Gangoo's can get delusional by flinging around terms like "Ancient India" I think I can also take leave by using "Ancient Pakistan". I can also dream of Gandhara Kings with abodes on the icebergs of Tibet, China.

Although to be honest there are volumes of books by acclaimed historians covering the history of Ancient Pakistan.

LOL according to this mental gymnastics champion, River Nile and its civilisations are Ugandan because of its source

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Does the Nile originate in Uganda or does one of its tributaries originate in Uganda?

Chikkamagaluru

Thiruvananthapuram

No wonder the British preferred simpler names, lol.

I agree but we can't change the reality now. In fact our blessed land - the Indus Valley has given names to -

  • Indonesia
  • India Republic
  • Indiana US state
  • Indianiapolis US city
  • Indies [West]
  • Indo [China]
  • etc

But we are not the only onces to have been shafted. Today there is a country called Romania, a people called Roma and they have nothing to do with Ancient Rome. On the other hand the country that is the direct successor to the Roman Empire is today called 'Italy'.

Go figure !
I agree but I suggested because Gangadesh is changing the names so why not they start with the major blunder..

Beijing is just a newer style of romanization. The meaning Peking/Beijing is the same, written the same way in Chinese character.

Tibet is the homeland of Sino-Tibetan people, not Indo-Aryan nor Dravidian.
