No one wants the unnecessary loss of life. My sympathies with the Indian BSF jawans, the guys were simply doing the duty.

Pakistan has suffered as well. Every day one hears about the loss of life among the Pakistanis civilians living along the LOC. I am aware that a few years ago a few school kids enjoying their bicycles were killed when an Indian shell landed on Dalowali road near the Sialkot /Jammu border. The same road where I myself learned to ride the bicycle 60 years ago.

I am not in the blame game, but since the BJP/Modi came to power there has been constant firing/shelling from both sides. We don’t need to be friends but must we be shooting at each other constantly?

What is needed is that the Prime Ministers should order their respective DGMO to ensure that the firing is not returned regardless of who fires the first shot.
