What's new

Indian Army violated the India-China protocol and lied to Indian Gov.

As penalty this time Xi Jinping will say India and China are the two oldest civilizations and natural friends. :yay:

That is your internal affair. What that has to do with our President?
Nothing will happen in india. This is standard feed for india's tabloid media in india's democracy!

Sir, you were my best friend on the forum, but unfortunately you have converted to Chinduism. A couple of times you have made me angry as well. I don't want to speak to you anymore, as you betrayed my trust.

On topic, I will say that Nawaz being civilian has no authority on foreign policy upon India. Our Army knows what they doing, and they will not allow civilian moron to dictate Pakistani foreign policy towards India.

Our animosity is more than China Japan rivalry.

Nawaz is nothing in front of Pak military.

I am not (and was not) friends with anyone who insults my country. That is all that needs to be said on that matter.

I was simply replying to your point saying that China was an idiot nation for trying to be friendly with India.

Everyone saw what happened in Ladakh just recently, with only a handful of soldiers we put their entire country into a panic, and forced them to back down and make multiple concessions on border infrastructure. Not only did they demolish the bunkers in question, they also put a halt on all infrastructure work in the region.

Complete opposite to Nawaz Sharif, who not only said he would come to India even if not invited, he actually went against protocol and invited Manmohan Singh to his swearing in ceremony, and MMS turned him down! Now he is buying electricity from India instead of getting Chinese companies to build more power plants in Pakistan!

So if China is an idiot nation for trying to be friendly with India, then what is going on with Sharif?

One thing I notice about India as a country.

If you are "nice" to them, they think you are in a lower position and they turn up their nose.
If you are "terrible" to them, they behave like victim.

If you are weak, not only they will not give an inch, they will take whatever they could from you.
Just ask Nepal.

Nepal now is turning to China for help.

Agreed! What is more horrible is they will conjure up anything using whatever tactics to blow their ego up.
An incident like this is a typical example. Blaming the Chinese incursion, appearing as “victims" for the world's attention.
They were provoking for the first shot from us, then their next move, sensationalizing the whole damn thing to the next level, reaping off any political gain available.

Thank for showing me that your friendship towards me was superficial. It says a lot about your character.

As you may or may not know, Nawaz Sharif cheated his way into presidency.

We the people of Pakistan don't support him, or his remarks towards India. We do support our military which is friends with China and understands the evil intentions of India.

Pakistanis did not give special treatment to your leader for no reason. Pakistanis gave more respect to him for being a stronger man than our own Nawaz Sharif.

I understand that you lied to me, and I was a fool for taking your friendship seriously, but I am sure, the majority of Chinese people are not like you. And to them I can openly say that they are my brothers.

Friendship cannot be broken if there was no friendship to begin with. As in this case.

As for your point, Chinese leaders gave some nice words after India backed down in Ladakh. Why not, it is good to encourage such behavior on their part.

Actions matter the most. Words in politics are just diplomatic fluff.

Nawaz on the other hand loves India in both words and actions. There is no politician in the world who loves India more than Nawaz Sharif.

Not sure if this was posted already, if so, mods, please merge or move this post.

When I replied to this matter a month ago, I mentioned that India was the trouble maker in this border conflict, but some Indian forum member denied that, as the majority of the Indian members were furious about the Chinese "intrusion" at that moment. Now that the Indian government has confirmed that the Chinese army only responded after the Indian army violated the protocol (and to make situation worse, they lied about their violation to GOI), I am wondering what people think on this matter.

@Chinese-Dragon @RazPaK

First of all let me put things in to perspective (See bolded part)

1. The bunkers at Chumar were not newly built they existed way back

The Chinese troops attempted to dismantle an old army bunker, which was not used by the troops for long, the sources said. Another version quoted to eyewitnesses, who are often the grazers, said that Chinese helicopters landed near the Line of Actual Control and then marched in to destroy old bunkers of the army and tents of ITBP.

Chinese troops are reported to have entered into Indian territory and destroyed some old Army bunkers and tents in Chumar division of Nyoma sector, about 300 kilometres from in Leh. While some reports suggested that the Chinese troops in helicopters entered one-and-a-half kilometres into Indian airspace, other reports said that the helicopters landed in Chinese territory and then the troops marched into the area to dismantle the bunkers, a move aimed at displaying that the area belonged to them.

Source: Chinese troops enter Indian territory; dismantle bunkers

The Indian army off late had started to man these bunkers and had fortified the already existing bunkers as part of the border infrastructure development program. And had started patrolling the area.

To protest this China had set up tents at Raki nala. And India finally had to remove a tin shed at Chamar sector which were put up as a shelter for patrolling troops next to the existing bunkers.

If India Army indeed had built new bunkers then i dont think the Chinese had withdrew so easily without dismantling the bunkers.

PS: one more important thing is DNA is not a credible news source, I would believe such things if it come's in The Hindu do post any links if u find them.

that is true for every other country.
In context of india and china ,china is superior to india both in military and economy so india will have to make concessions.

'No concessions in Daulat Beg Oldi' | Business Standard

probably speculation
After the three-week long standoff ended on Monday, speculation was rife that India had agreed to demolish a border observation bunker in the Chumar region in southern Ladakh, which China had objected to. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), however, had denied the allegation.

You are a slippery serpent.

Even though I hate Nawaz, you must tell me.

What did he do towards India, that made you think his actions are in favor of India?

Ever tried walking with that blindfold still in place? You sir have reached the zenith of being in a denial.

OT: There must be war esp looking at the rhetorical positions of various people on this thread. Wars are the ultimate arbiters of disputes - and for a very long time.

@ Indians, don't try to create a wedge between Chinese and Pakistani people.

India destroyed bunkers in Chumar to resolve Ladakh row, Army officers confirm

SRINAGAR: India has agreed to a Chinese demand to demolish bunkers near their de facto border in the Himalayas, Indian military officers said, as part of a deal to end a stand-off that threatened to scupper slowly improving relations.

Indian and Chinese soldiers faced off 100 metres (330 feet) apart on a plateau near the Karakoram mountain range, where they fought a war 50 years ago, for three weeks until they reached a deal on Sunday for both sides to withdrew.

The tension had threatened to overshadow a visit by foreign minister to Beijing on May 9. China's Premier Li Keqiang is expected to visit India later this month.

Details of the deal have not been made public but a senior officer from the Indian Army's northern command said India had agreed to abandon and destroy bunkers in the Chumar sector, further south along the disputed border.

"The bunkers in Chumar were dismantled after we acceded to Chinese demand in the last flag meeting. These bunkers were live-in bunkers," the Army officer told Reuters on Tuesday.

India said up to 50 Chinese soldiers intruded into its territory on the western rim of the Himalayas on April 15. Some Indian officials and experts believed the incursion signalled Chinese concern about increased Indian activity in the area.

India said the Chinese soldiers were 19 km (12 miles) beyond the point it understands to be the border in the Ladakh region of Kashmir, a vaguely defined line called the line of actual control, which neither side agrees on.

China denied it had crossed into Indian territory. China won the border war they fought in 1962, which soured relations for decades, but ties between the Asian giants have been improving in recent years. China is India's top trade partner.

India has been beefing up its military presence for several years on the remote Ladakh plateau, building roads and runways to catch up with Chinese development across the border in a disputed area known as Aksai Chin.

The decision to agree to the Chinese demand and demolish the bunkers followed heavy criticism of the government over its handling of the incident by the opposition.

The Indian officer said earlier that Chinese officers demanded that India stop construction of bunkers, tunnels and huts along the line of actual control, as the vaguely defined border in place since the 1962 war is known.

They also objected to nomads crossing from India to grazing meadows on the Chinese side, the Indian Army officer said.

An official in defence ministry said on Monday the deal to end the standoff as a "quid pro quo" and said China had also demanded India take down listening and observation posts in the Chumar area, which is close to a Chinese road through Tibet.

It was not clear if India was dismantling those posts.
