Since 2013 , India had been training 1000 Afghan army officers every year.

Maybe some of these soldiers were Pakistani agents spying on indian military facilities. Whatever tactics india was training these soldiers on were probably also passed onto the Taliban along with the names and addresses of these soldiers over the years.
