Yesterday I show the news. Young and healthy people were trying to get into the choppers forcefully where the military people were rescuing women and children. Army Javan pushed them back. Shame on these people who wants to rescued in priority before women and children.

Yes I also saw that yesterday evening.

everyone just want to leave valley asap. It has become like death valley for now. Also forces are focusing on pulling out tourists out of Jammu and Kashmir as they will be able to rehabilitate local people much faster.

The bad publicity is sometimes deliberate & sometime just a matter of circumstances. One of the claims is that the people being rescued are tourists & outsiders which is normal considering that they can be shunted out of the area to make their own way onwards. Not so with the locals who live there but who might resent that on the grounds that they are not being rescued & taken out without realising that there is nowhere really to go. Local rescue shelters simply cannot handle the whole city of Srinigar and the best way forward is to pump out water (no rain is forecast for the next few days) and make their homes livable ASAP.

Part of the "backlash" is a deliberate attempt to try & stroke public emotion by creating fictional stories & misrepresenting what is being done. That is par for the course & expected. Too many people have vested interests here to suddenly start praising the rescue work.

Surat had evem worst flood in 2006 and had a flood last year.

Last year flood was not sever people enjoyed the flood and and ate lots of Bhajiya.

In 2006, the way surtis fought with natural calamity is an unparalleled example of spirit in itself. After flood, The city was submarged in 12 to 15 feet water upto first floor. The whole city was flooded with 1 meter layer of mud after the water get down. .Parking and first floor was submerged. People took shelter in 2nd floor and above. Whole city was cleaned within a week. Narendra modi personally looked after the operation and remained in Surat for 3 Days. Gujarat gas continued the gas supply in 12 feet water to all homes. Every house loose goods with 1 to 5 lakhs. Life back to normal within a week.

Flood is a not a calamity in surat but an evnt of entertainment. People enjoys a lot in flood. Look people have gathered on bridge to witness flood. No fear Just enjoyment.
