No doubt we have issues like poverty , backwardness and illiteracy ... but Indian muslims are apolitical when they go out , thats the reason in GCC all most all workers now are of Indian origin because of their apolitical views and hard working nature .... hope over all situation as per education will improve . I went to a Muslim college mate's room. There were some dozen Muslim boys who were financially so secure and educated that they were studying Engineering for their Bachelor degree. Yet they were shamelessly pro-Pakistani. Out of that dozen only two were loyal to India. They were watching a cricket match. Whenever Sachin Tendulkar came on the scene they would make comments like, "Ded footiya saala!" "Saala gidda!" Whenever a star player like Yuvaraj Singh or Tendulkar appeared they would say, "Dekho Bhagwan aa gaya!" Whenever Pakistan did well, they would joyously celebrate.

Let's pardon them considering that they were young. Let's consider the case of one family in a sleepy village in South India. Here too this Muslim family would applaud whenever Pakistan did well.

Any Pakistani that even tries to deny that their country has been one of the, if not the, top producer of jihadi terrorists is a liar. You can't deny the fact that many Indians have gone to join ISIS, they are by all accounts terrorists and not freedom fighters.
Now if you compare the Muslim to terrorist ratio then very very few Indian Muslims go to blow themself up in India or abroad and this has to do with the secular nature of India's existence. An Indian Muslim understands tolerance and the importance of religious harmony than many Muslims in Muslim majority countries.
But the foreign funded mullahs in India are trying their level best to destroy the secular attitude in the minds of Indian Muslims.
