By 2030, India will have 20 destroyers starting from Delhi class. There will be 35 frigates starting from the talwar class. There will be approx 50 corvettes and 30 missile boats.

Subs are the only area where we will probably struggling but if all goes well there should be 20 modern diesels with aip, 6 ssn and 6 ssbn.

Then why is UK even building such huge carriers ?
To bully smaller nations like Iraq and Libya in cahoots with US ?

UK seem to be designing its carriers to operate in conjugation with USN, depending on USN's AWACS and EW assets; pretty much like Japanese Navy. Standalone QE carrier is very weak and does not make any sense, which become starker in view of the fact that by expending just a billion or so more (designing them to original specifications), UK could have had very formidable carriers.

Yes I know.Infact US forced UK to pay for these white elephants claiming UK taking up more responsibility was necessary if it wants to play deputy sherrif to the US.

We currently have 9 frigates. 6 talwar plus 3 shivalik. 7 p17a will be commissioned by 2023. 3 next gen talwars will be built by reliance by 2021. That's 19 ffgs by 2023. Unless we plan to hatch eggs for the rest of the decade we should be adding between 10 - 15 more.

The first visag is due for commissioning in 2018 followed by 1 every year after that till 2021. Don't know where you got 2024 front.

In plans are for 24 anti sub corvettes by 2032. The follow on p28 order will be for 6+6 by 2027.

In parallel IN plans an equal number of non asw corvettes as well.
The cbg layout desired is 4 corvettes, 2 frigates and 1 destroyer along with unspecified subs. If we are gonna be a 3 carrier navy by 2030, you need 12 corvettes just in the cbg.

And 30 1500 tonne missile boats with a 4 universal vls can be churned out at 2 per year, the starting order will be for 12 based on upgraded tarantul class

1st P17A will start getting built in 2017 & all commissioned by 2023, point behind your logic?
Just tell me any source where IN said that it want such items in given timeline?

I can't see any logic behind ordering more Talwars, design of P17A is ready if navy want more FFGs from private shipyard IN will order P17A not Talwars.
