India warns Bangladesh not to shoot at Indian side - People's Daily Online June 25, 2010

India's Border Security Force ( BSF) Thursday warned Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) not to shoot in the direction of India, reported the Press Trust of India.

"We have made it clear that we will not observe the same restraint as we maintained during the last firing by BDR (along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya). Unilateral restraint is not possible," the report quoted BSF Assam and Meghalaya chief R. C. Saxena as saying in Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya.

Saxena also met a BDR delegation led by Brig. Gen. Obaidul Haque at Dawki in Meghalaya, according to the report.

The high-level meeting was held after the BDR on June 15 fired over 3,000 rounds at India in at least five places along the international border in Meghalaya, injuring a school teacher.

This is serious warning to BDR.

What man don't you know how close chinese and pakistanis are to bangladeshis. They stop eating, sleeping, drinking seeing the suffering of their bangla brothers. India was the real villain who seperated two brothers in deep love way back in 71.

Sh*t man. I feel ashamed to be living in a villain country.

How dare BSF issue such warning. Can't they tolerate just 3000 harmless rounds coming their way.

Shame on India.:what::what:

India always shoots in the direction of BD. If Bangladesh shoots the only direction is India since we are surrounded by that country.

That being the case BD hardly ever shoots unless provoked and usually in self-defence. It is very arrogant for India to accuse BD of shooting at it.

You are right brother. BDR are the real angels. They deserve a Nobel peace prize for the outstanding restrain and humanity they have shown so far.

The exceptional humanitarian and peaceful incident happened last year in BDR headquarters was witnessed by the whole world where many BDR officers and their family members attained "moksha" in a colorful ceremony.

Isn't it arrogant to assume that we're always the aggressors?

You guys even blame India when textile workers go on strike so you really have no credibility.

If BD is shooting at India then why is it that Bangladeshis are getting killed?

100% of all deaths on the border are of Bangladeshis on this side of the border. So who is shooting at whom?

Munshi ji we never said we didn't shoot at you..but the article gave you an idea that its not only India who is shooting..some of the shootings from Indian side is a retaliation because of Bangladesh forces shooting at us ..clearly no one seems to be saint here..

May be because BSF guys are good with their aim..and shoot......rather than crazily firing rounds.

Really..just because your media reports don't count India deaths does it mean they are no happening.

Well every other possible way has been tried with BSF. They offered the middle finger every time in return. Didn't even care to talk when red flags were raised by BDR. Red flag is the last step of official communique before shots are fired .

Hmm now they are whining about getting shot at. Its certainly not fun anymore when somebody is shooting at you.
